1899 – Season 1 Episode 3 1

Following a cursory examination of the deceased girl—who happens to be Kove's sister—the ship abruptly jolts and shudders. Its pace dwindles as a dense fog descends, obscuring their vision. In this state of limited visibility, Eyk Larsen commands the crew to maintain their position. However, Franz, one of the officers, disputes this decision, advocating for cutting the Prometheus adrift, sinking it, and pressing onward.

Meanwhile, the ribbon discovered by Larsen reveals a deeper mystery. It belonged to his daughter, and beneath his bed, he reveals a peculiar compartment, a hatch adorned with that enigmatic triangular symbol once again, which seems to pervade every corner. Larsen decides to return to the Prometheus, intent on finding the logbook and piecing together the perplexing clues surrounding their current predicament. Maura accompanies him.

Within the Kerberos, further secrets lurk in the shadows. An officer takes the bizarre triangular symbols spewed out by the telegraph machine and inputs them into a concealed panel in the hallway. Its true purpose remains shrouded in mystery.

Back on the Prometheus, Eyk and Maura embark on a quest for the logbook, yet their search soon reveals that this ship harbors its own secrets. A tiled shaft descends deep into the vessel's innards, adorned with a similar pattern of the triangle—but with a line piercing through it. Eyk recalls that a fleet of three German ships was sold to a British investor named Henry Singleton several months ago. These ships underwent three months of refurbishment in the dry docks, where a new communication system was installed. That ubiquitous symbol we've encountered throughout our journey is actually the insignia of that company.

After fleeing, Ling-Yi found salvation in an unexpected ally, Olek. He steered her away from the prying eyes of the passengers, descending into a secluded holding bay. As a dense fog enveloped her, Ling-Yi faced the haunting memories of her past. Olek consoled the distraught girl, offering words of encouragement before she reluctantly returned to her cabin to meet her "customer." However, this customer was none other than Lucien, the French gentleman. After watching Ling-Yi dance, he halted her from undressing and commenced with his measurements. "Do not fret, this shall not last long," he murmured, only to collapse onto the floor, shivering violently.

Back aboard the Prometheus, Eyk and Maura stumbled upon a control panel designed to monitor steam pressure. Though it had never functioned on the Kerberos, it appeared to be operational on the Prometheus. Nearby, an incinerator held further clues, revealing the ship's passenger list, miraculously untouched amidst the ashes. Upon examining it, Eyk was struck terror with, hastily concealing it and lying to Maura, claiming he had found nothing and urging her to return to their vessel. secrecy

Eyk's was evident, and upon returning to the Kerberos, he instructed Maura to keep their whereabouts a secret. Even more ominous, three more bodies were discovered in the crew quarters, their fates identical to that of the girl on the deck. No bruises, no blood. This was the final straw, igniting a rebellion.

Franz, a senior officer, rallied the crew, urging them to arm themselves and fight back, deciding that mutiny against the captain was necessary. Olek, however, refused and attempted to leave, intent on revealing all to the Captain. Consequently, he was imprisoned alongside Jerome in the brig.

And who occupied the passenger list? Amidst this eerie turn of events, Maura's name stood out. Daniel approached Maura on the deck, labeling Eyk as a madman. Maura, however, saw him as a man grappling with depression and pain. Unfortunately, the other passengers were less forgiving, converging on the captain's quarters with guns in hand, intent on seizing control of the ship.

As they did so, Daniel remotely activated the Prometheus, employing a bizarre device to restart its engines. As the dense fog was suddenly sucked into this contraption, vanishing into thin air, the Kerberos disappeared, following suit.
