Elsewhere, Wyatt receives a call about a woman, Isla, contemplating suicide after being diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa. He persuades her to reconsider, his urgency echoed by the dispatcher as 126 rushes to the scene. Isla, swayed by Wyatt's heartfelt story, changes her mind. But in a moment of weakness, she slips and nearly plummets to her doom. Fortunately, the team arrives in the nick of time to rescue her.
At the hospital, Nancy accompanies Tommy to her medical appointment, where the doctor confirms a breast cancer diagnosis and outlines the prognosis. Tommy decides, somewhat impulsively, to undergo a lumpectomy the following day. The arrival of the 126 rescue team, coupled with witnessing Will's bravery for his daughter's sake, brings Owen a deeper understanding of TK and Enzo's dynamics. Meanwhile, Tommy persists in his duties post-surgery, fueling Nancy's concerns even further. Ultimately, Tommy's quick wit proves pivotal in rescuing Will, earning the little girl's heartfelt blessing for his marriage to her mother.
As Saturday night unfolds, the TK birthday bash is in full swing. Owen decides to extend leniency and forgiveness to Enzo, and the evening is filled with joy and laughter, even seeing Tommy engaging flirtatiously with one of the live musicians at the party. However, the festive ambiance is abruptly shattered when the FBI storms in, arresting Enzo on charges of tax evasion and other offenses. TK is devastated upon learning the truth behind his lavish birthday gift; it transpires that Enzo had been using him as a shield to conceal his illicit assets. Owen consoles TK, refraining from saying "I told you so," acknowledging that, despite his missteps, Enzo had been a loving father to TK who simply lost his way.
Returning to her abode after the festive gathering, Tommy set her hands to work mending her daughter's costume.
