Later, Pip assures her dearest friend Cara that she will refrain from questioning Cara's elder sister, Naomi, who was upset in the previous episode. However, Naomi overhears their conversation and divulges details about Andie, Emma, and their other best friend, Nat. She reveals that the trio were always inseparable but mentions that Nat wasn't particularly kind. Though Naomi claims to have lost touch with Nat, Cara reveals that they are slated to play against each other in a tennis match in a few days, prompting them to decide to attend the game.

At the tennis courts, Cara exhibits impressive prowess while Nat flies off in a huff after losing. Pip trails Nat into the changing room and is left flustered when Nat emerges from the shower, stark naked. Unfazed, Nat remarks that Pip shouldn't be too shocked as similar nude photos of her were once circulated in school around the time Andie was murdered. Pip assures her that she hasn't seen those pictures, and Nat's demeanor softens as she inquisitively asks what Pip wants to know about Andie. While Nat praises Andie as a wonderful friend, the conversation takes a surprising turn when Nat inadvertently mentions that Andie was involved in a romantic relationship with someone other than her boyfriend, Sal. Realizing she's said too much, Nat hastily exits, warning Pip that she's unaware of the complexities she's delving into.

Pip disclosed to Ravi that Andie had another suitor besides Sal, shocking him to realize his brother had been betrayed. To delve deeper into the mystery, they devised a plan to contact Emma from Ravi's phone, masquerading as Nat. They lured her into a conversation and spoke of the "Secret Older Guy," implying he was Andie's secret lover before her demise.

Eager to celebrate Cara's birthday, Pip and her friends embarked on a camping trip, reveling in the delights of liquor and swimming in a serene lake. But as night fell, they indulged in a thrilling Ouija board session, terrifying themselves by seemingly communicating with Andie, who claimed she was buried deep in the woods surrounding them.

In the dead of night, when Cara needed to use the restroom, the girls ventured out together for safety. However, a torchlight flickering in the distance drew their attention, and as they approached, the figure vanished into the shadows, leaving them clueless about its identity.

Back at their tent, the girls were jittery and frightened, but eventually, their nerves settled, and they managed to drift into sleep. However, when Pip snuggled into her sleeping bag, she stumbled upon a chilling note inscribed, "Stop digging, Pippa." Terror gripped her, but who could have planted such a sinister message?

The following morning, Pip remained unusually silent as they dismantled their tent and embarked on the journey home. Cara, sensing her friend's distress, inquired about what troubled her, but Pip feigned indifference, claiming it was merely the impending end of summer and the inevitable changes ahead, knowing that soon they would all be heading off to college.

As Pip dropped Cara off at her home, she caught a glimpse of Max Hastings arguing with Naomi in a distant car. Upon returning home, Pip found a note neatly folded on the table in her desolate kitchen, resembling the one she had discovered in her sleeping bag. Her heart skipped a beat, but the note was merely from her mother, informing her of a shopping trip.

In her room, Pip gazed at her evidence board, and her eyes fell upon a familiar face among the policemen in a photo from the media conference held with Andie's parents. After some research, she discovered it was Stan Da Silva, Nat's elder brother. Suspecting he might be involved in hiding something, she added Nat to her list of suspects.

When Pip showed Ravi her evidence board, he was bewildered to see that the social media photos she had printed of Andie, Nat, and Emma were not in chronological order. Upon rearranging them, it became apparent that the pictures only featured Andie and Emma, with Nat conspicuously absent from the friendship circle. But what could be the reason?

The duo then used Ravi's phone to trick Nat into coming to the train station, pretending to be Emma. When Nat realized she had been duped, Pip and Ravi revealed their suspicion that Andie was the one who had circulated her nude photos. Nat insisted it wasn't Andie, but she confessed that Andie had undergone a significant change in the weeks before her death, revealing that she had been seeing a sinister man, who was none other than Max Hastings.

In spite of Max's assertion to Pip that he had never conversed with Andie, the evident contradiction left Pip perplexed. She resolved to confront him further and, on that very night, she ventured to his house. Upon arrival, his father granted her entry, and she hastened up to Max's bedroom. However, Max was indulging in a shower, presenting Pip with an opportunity to surreptitiously explore his room. To her astonishment, she stumbled upon a photograph of Andie in her underwear, pinned inconspicuously to the rear of a group snapshot featuring Max and his friends.

Eager to capture evidence, Pip reached for her phone to snap a picture, only to be caught red-handed by Max. Emerging from the shower, wrapped in a mere towel, he confronted Pip, his eyes betraying a mischievous gleam as he demanded an explanation for her intrusion. With a hint of amusement, Max revealed that Pip had been working for someone at the Calamity Club in the city, suggesting they should delve deeper into the mystery. But who was the enigmatic figure lurking in the shadows of the Calamity Club?
