In the gripping third episode, Pip's unwavering quest to unravel the mystery surrounding Andie Bell's disappearance intensifies as she declares her intention to attend a notorious calamity party. Her friends are taken aback, as Pip is hardly the type to frequent such gatherings. Initially hesitant, they soon embark on a code-cracking quest to discover the location of the elusive underage bash. Little do they realize that Pip's sole motivation for attending is to uncover the identity of the drug dealer Andie had been working for before her abrupt disappearance.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder – Season 1 Episode 3 1

Pip confides in Ravi about Andie's drug-dealing and the mysterious older man she had been seeing behind Sal's back. Ravi, though concerned, insists he cannot accompany her, citing the ostracism his family has endured since Sal's controversial "confession" regarding Andie's murder.

As Pip and Cara prepare for the party, Pip's parents inquire about the event, surprised by her intention to attend and jokingly teasing her about indulging in drugs, knowing her to be far too well-mannered for such behavior.

At the party, Cara, Pip, and Lauren timidly descend into the underground caves nestled within the woods, where the festivities are unfolding. They are stunned by the revelry, witnessing teenagers indulging in alcohol and drugs with reckless abandon. Feeling like fish out of water, the trio nevertheless manage to secure a drink and attempt to blend in with the crowd. Cara's excitement peaks when her crush, Ruby, sweeps her off for a dance, while Lauren and Pip engage in a game of spin the bottle. Pip's reluctance is palpable, yet she eyes one of the boys in the circle who is doling out drugs, convinced he can lead her to the man who supplied drugs to Andie.

When the bottle spins and lands on Pip, she is paired with the drug dealer, Dylan. Pip escorts him into a dimly lit corner, but instead of engaging in a kiss, she feigns sobriety and inquiries about drugs. Dylan informs her that she must seek out Howie, an older man situated in another section of the cave, surrounded by a circle of friends who are deeply ensconced in their drug-fueled euphoria.

Pip trembled in terror yet gathered her courage, offering Howie £60 that Dylan owed him, in exchange for answering three probing questions. Howie, intrigued, nodded his consent. Pip queried the types of narcotics Andie had sold on his behalf, and Howie rattled off a list, confirming their acquaintance and Andie's employment under him. He further disclosed that she was the ideal candidate for his operation, her innocent appearance masking the drugs she cunningly concealed in a stuffed bunny. He even let slip that Andie possessed an untraceable burner phone.

However, the situation shifted dramatically when Pip inquired about Howie's whereabouts the night Andie disappeared. His demeanor darkened, and he became belligerent. Pip fled, colliding with Dylan, who proved to be as vile as Howie. He attempted to overpower Pip until a mysterious figure intervened, scaring Dylan off.

Pip, shaken by the ordeal, fled the party without locating Cara or Lauren, retreating to her home. Seeking solace, she snuggled beside her younger brother as her phone rang. It was Ravi, apologizing for missing the party and arranging a meeting the following day for Pip to share her findings.

As Pip hung up, her phone chimed again. She smiled, expecting it to be Ravi, but her countenance fell when she read a menacing text from an unknown number, warning her to drop the case while she still could.

The following morning, Pip, shaken to her core, ventured out to clear her troubled mind. Standing before Andie's memorial in the village, she was unexpectedly approached by Becca, Andie's sister. Becca inquired why Pip was relitigating old wounds by delving into Andie's mysterious disappearance, a question that left Pip tongue-tied.

After her encounter with Becca, Pip felt deflated and canceled her plans with Ravi, who was busy crafting a special non-alcoholic cocktail named after her in a bustling pub. Though he pretended to be unfazed, Ravi was clearly disappointed. Instead, Pip sought solace in Cara's tea room, sharing her confusion and turmoil.

At home, Pip's mother admonished her for associating with Ravi and his family, urging her to leave them be. She insisted that Pip abandon her investigation into Andie's case, and though Pip reluctantly concurred, it was evident that she had no intention of following her mother's advice. As soon as her mother left, Pip returned to her evidence board, eagerly adding the details Howie had imparted the night before.

With renewed determination, Pip arranged a meeting with Ravi the following day, informing him that she would skip school to meet him, an unprecedented move for her. They converged outside Andie and Becca's abode, and Pip revealed her plan to sneak into the house when it was empty and search for the burner phone or the soft toy rabbit in Andie's room.

While Ravi kept watch, Pip discovered a key hidden in a plant pot in the backyard. She slipped into the house through the backdoor and headed straight for Andie's room. Just as she was rummaging through Andie's belongings in search of the rabbit, Becca returned home. Ravi frantically texted their code word 'marshmallow' to warn Pip, but she failed to hear the ping of her phone. With no other choice, Ravi dashed into the house and alerted Pip. They narrowly escaped detection by hiding in Andie's wardrobe, but Becca was momentarily distracted by the doorbell before she could open the door.

Becca answered the front door to find the police, who informed her that a neighbor had reported suspicious activity around the house. As Becca engaged the officers in conversation, Ravi and Pip made a hasty exit. However, as they sped away in Pip's car, a police officer emerged from the house and caught sight of them. It was none other than Dan, Nat Da Silva's brother, who had witnessed their hasty departure.
