Episode 6 of "A Virtuous Business" kicks off with a poignant flashback, depicting Seong-su's heroic act of shielding Jeong-suk from a pair of ruthless bullies. They harass her, taunting her about her mother being deserted for another woman. However, Seong-su's unwavering support not only defends her honor but also cements their unbreakable bond. Throughout their younger years, Seong-su was Jeong-suk's rock, and all she ever desired was the happiness they shared within their family's embrace – a dream that once seemed attainable. Little did Jeong-suk foresee that this idyllic life would culminate in an official divorce, yet here they stand, at the threshold of a new chapter.
Outside the divorce office, Seong-su gently broaches the subject of Jeong-suk's mother, but our resilient protagonist swiftly redirects the conversation. She vows not to dwell on the past, nor to sink into self-pity, allowing this stigma to define her. Instead, she chooses to forge ahead, undeterred by the shadows of her family's past.
Elsewhere, the other women ponder on the best way to uplift Jeong-suk's spirits, ultimately deciding on a soothing getaway rather than Ju-ri's proposal of seeking solace in a new romance. As fate would have it, their plan for a rejuvenating trip aligns serendipitously with an upcoming in-home sales opportunity at Fantasy Lingerie. Ms. Park, unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, entrusts the task to their quartet, promising to share the profits among them. Their destination? A serene overnight escape on the picturesque island of Gyesim-do.
The ladies eagerly embrace the plan, and at the tranquil library, Jeong-suk eagerly shares her joyous tale with Da-hyun, who is engrossed in researching his mother's whereabouts among the documents. Sensing an opportune moment, Jeong-suk warmly invites him to her home, contemplating it as a golden chance to introduce him to her mother and to express her gratitude for his invaluable support during the Min-ho ordeal.
Elsewhere, Min-ho enjoys a heartfelt bonding session with his best buddy, Dong-u, while Da-hyun finds himself seated with Jeong-suk's mother, delving into conversations about the town's past, particularly highlighting the recurrent fires caused by the prevalent thatched roofs. Unfortunately, their discussion is abruptly halted when Jeong-suk's mother is summoned away on an urgent matter, leaving Da-hyun in charge of babysitting. Initially, the children are somewhat intimidated by Da-hyun's stern demeanor, but their fears quickly shift to annoyance when he consistently wins their games. However, Da-hyun's cool and courageous actions shine through when he heroically rescues Min-ho from a bullying situation, bringing him safely back home, assisting him with his evening routine, and preparing him for bed.
Meanwhile, on Gyesim-do, the ladies encounter staunch opposition from the group, who view them as members of the President's exclusive club. Determined to prove their worth, they venture out with the group for a clam-fishing expedition. There, they inadvertently eavesdrop on a heated argument between two individuals.
It transpires that this bickering is a regular occurrence stemming from a past engagement between the President's son and Mi-yeong, one of the women's daughters. When Mi-yeong moved to the city to pursue her acting dreams, she broke off the engagement, leading to an inexplicable rift between the two families. Now, it falls upon our fearless foursome to mend this fractured relationship and restore harmony.
Unfortunately, the situation spiraled out of control as the gang争斗不休over the enchanting fantasy lingerie, which soared gracefully into the air before being reduced to a sorry state, marred in the clutches of mud. Nonetheless, the cosmetic products remained unscathed and lured potential buyers, prompting the gang to leap into action, surrounding themselves with an array of creams.
That evening, the group gathered, their spirits high as they shared their fantasies amidst laughter and camaraderie. Their antics, which mimicked scenes from various films, added a humorous twist to the evening and fostered stronger bonds within the group. Jeong-suk, too, began to unwind and open up to them, though a trace of shyness lingered due to Seong-su's past disapproval of her assertiveness.
Upon returning home, Jeong-suk was slightly astonished to find Da-hyun playing with the kids while her mother was absent. Min-ho quickly chimed in, mocking Da-hyun's culinary prowess and hinting that the responsibility of cooking fell to Jeong-suk. However, Min-ho had grown fond of Da-hyun and was more than willing to share a meal with him. Jeong-suk cooked a delightful dish using the fresh clams they had caught on the island, and Min-ho thoroughly enjoyed it.
Yet, an unsettling aura hovered between them, prompting the pair to confront it as they embarked on a nighttime stroll together. Jeong-suk aptly described their relationship as akin to strangers who felt more at ease with each other than with friends. They had obviously shared some intimate details about their lives, and it was during this walk that Da-hyun opened up to her, confessing his quest to find his birth parents. Geumje was the sole clue he possessed to unravel this mystery.
Da-hyun retreats to his clandestine sanctuary, pondering intently on how to crack the enigmatic fire case that has him engrossed. A brainstorm ignites within him, prompting him to seek out the captain under the cloak of night to share his plan.
As Geum-hui makes her way back, Dae-geum seizes his moment and ventures to the salon in search of Ju-ri. However, his bubble bursts as he realizes that Ju-ri's habit of comparing her clients to celebrities is merely a tactic to boost her business and elevate their spirits. Deflated, he lets out a sigh and exits the salon, his spirits dampened.
Meanwhile, Jeong-suk is presented with an opportunity to become the branch manager upon her return, bringing back auspicious news from her island sales endeavor. The prospect of a stable salary gives her ample reason to contemplate. As she departs, she encounters an old schoolmate, Gyeong-sik, who mentions his wife Jeong-rim's keen interest in meeting her due to her remarkable sales. Jeong-rim has suffered a back injury, so Gyeong-sik invites Jeong-suk to their home. He provides his address, and Jeong-suk starts preparing, eager to accept.
She leaves a message for the other sales representatives, but they are all engaged. Jeong-suk sets out alone, an unsettling scenario that triggers Da-hyun's instincts when he catches wind of her destination. The twist is, Gyeong-sik is not married.
Da-hyun springs into action, rushing towards the flower farm. His timely arrival is fortuitous, as Gyeong-sik begins shadowing Jeong-suk around the sheds. Da-hyun intervenes just in the nick of time, as Jeong-suk is plagued by a wave of panic.
