Episode 7 of "Alice in Borderland" Season 2 kicks off with Niragi embarking on a mission to plunge everyone into unspeakable torment. As his malevolent plot unfolds, Ann and Kuina's paths cross once more, this time amidst a series of harrowing games. They exchange words of fortitude, methodically eliminating each face card until only two remain: the Queen of Hearts and the King of Spades.
Amidst the overgrown wilderness of Shibuya Crossing, Chishiya emerges and is reunited with Arisu, but their joyous reunion is swiftly shattered by Niragi's arrival and a gunshot that fells Chishiya. Undeterred, Niragi confronts Arisu and proposes a final, makeshift game of Russian Roulette. He tosses a handgun to Chishiya, igniting a battle among the trio, until Arisu decides to confront Niragi head-on, his gun drawn. Determined to forge his own destiny in this cruel world, Arisu's resolve echoes Chishiya's earlier confrontation with Kuzuryu.
Suddenly, Usagi appears, drawing Niragi's fire. Without hesitation, Chishiya jumps in front of her, taking a bullet meant for her and sacrificing himself. In the aftermath, Chishiya passes away, leaving the group in shock and grief—though they have little time to mourn as the King of Spades' blimp looms on the horizon. Usagi and Arisu hear distant gunfire and take cover behind cars. Meanwhile, Kuina and Ann survive their respective games and rejoin the group, where Arisu lies through his teeth, insisting Chishiya is alright.
When Ann is seized, the group must rally to outwit the King of Spades. In a daring maneuver, a car slams into him, shattering his form. Yet, even as he bursts into flames, the military commando emerges unscathed from the wreckage, clad in bulletproof gear and continuing his relentless assault. Akane and Aguni leap into action, reuniting with the rest of the characters in this chaotic medley. Aguni deduces that supplies are airdropped from the blimp and devises a plan to distract the commando until he runs out of bullets, at which point they will strike.
They also possess Chishiya's lucky bomb, and if they manage to reach the drugstore and fill it with gas, it could trigger an immense explosion, powerful enough to sway the battle's tide in their favor. Aguni bravely volunteers to serve as the decoy, luring their adversary into a narrow alley, ensuring he cannot replenish his ammunition from the blimp. The team works together to subdue the commando as he stalks the alley. They worked closely together to ensure that he ran out of ammunition and food. During this conflict, Akane was unfortunately hit by a bullet, and Ann was also shot several times. Aguni was furious and rushed towards the "king" and launched a series of violent punches and kicks at him. Kuina saw this and jumped into the fight, but was accidentally stabbed in the abdomen multiple times. Usagi tried to attack the "King" from behind, but was stabbed multiple times in the thigh as he jumped on his back, before being violently thrown out of the alley. Meanwhile, Aguni managed to load a stray bullet into the pistol. At this moment, the "King" followed suit and shot Aguni. Yet, even after all this, the "King" is still alive.
Witnessing the chaos, Arisu lures the King into the drugstore, where he's surrounded by numerous spray cannisters. The King hesitates and almost turns back, but Aguni, miraculously still alive after the bullet merely grazed his temple, leaps from behind and thrusts the man inside. It all unfolds in a whirlwind of motion. Arisu throws a cannister, then leaps out the window with Aguni, who turns and fires at the cannister (presumably with another bullet scavenged) causing it to explode, sending them both tumbling outside.
Remarkably, Aguni retains his life force and aids Arisu to his feet before collapsing onto the ground, panting heavily, urging Arisu to press on to the final game. Throughout the fray, Aguni discovers the King, still breathing but barely. The commando, now delirious, hands over a handgun, pleading for mercy. "I'm sorry. It was the only way I knew to save you," he rambles, his mind drifting back to a darker chapter of his past as a soldier, where he once denied mercy to a pleading victim. In a moment of compassion, Aguni grants him just that, firing at the King and taking down his blimp in the process, bringing an end to this harrowing ordeal.
In the meantime, Ann succumbs to her grievous injuries, her demise leaving Kunai devastated and clinging to his own wounds in the dimly lit alleyway. Chishiya clings to life by a thread, barely hanging on, while Akane finds herself in a desperate struggle. Nevertheless, the final game looms on the horizon, orchestrated by none other than the Queen of Hearts. With the arrival of the blimp, the ultimate duo of registered players, Arisu and Usagi, steel themselves for the impending challenges.
How fitting it is that the grand finale should resemble the eerie Queen of Hearts game from Alice in Wonderland. And lo and behold, croquet is also a part of this macabre spectacle! As for the enigmatic Queen, she reveals herself to be Mira—a revelation that leaves little to the imagination. Indeed, it is she!
