Episode 11 of Season 2 of "Andor" unfolds with a dramatic scene: Imperials storm into the hospital, confronting the grim aftermath of a violent assault. Preliminary assumptions indicate that three assailants, operating in tandem, methodically dispatched the soldiers and targeted Luthen. The ISB's evidence hinges on the scope of the attack and the curious absence of eyewitnesses—a mystery that deepens when they examine the surveillance footage from the vicinity.
The hospital director, Recklaw, reacts with anger and defiance towards the Empire's intrusion. However, his sentiments shift abruptly upon realizing that the premises have been designated a crime scene, and any interference could spell dire consequences for him. With a reluctant sigh, he concedes and steps aside, leaving the Imperials to their investigation.
The brunt of this tumultuous situation falls on Dedra, who finds herself under rigorous interrogation by the Imperials, particularly Orson Krennic. Krennic harbors suspicions that Dedra might be an undercover agent, her connection to Jung posing a significant concern. To his astonishment, Jung had unauthorized access to her personal files, uncovering classified information, including two years' worth of Jedha Working Group printouts. This discovery has inadvertently led Jung to engage with Luthen, much to Krennic's fury.
Dedra, on her part, stands firm in her loyalty to the Empire. She rationalizes her actions by revealing a critical detail from the Jedha documents: the mention of a Partisan spy who happened to be a valet for a local Moff. Her questioning of this individual ultimately led her to Luthen's shop. With unwavering conviction, Dedra proposes that they should pursue Kleya next, believing she holds additional secrets about Luthen. Unfortunately, Krennic disregards her suggestion and keeps her in custody, ignoring her protests.
At the hospital, the ISB meticulously reviews the security footage, capturing Kleya's departure and branding her as Public Enemy Number One. The noose of suspicion tightens around her neck, as security forces meticulously trace her every move. Meanwhile, amidst this unfolding drama, Kleya deftly salvages her radio equipment, transmitting a desperate Morse code signal across the void to Yavin, pleading for urgent assistance.
On Yavin, Wilmon intercepts the cryptic message and rushes to inform Cassian, who is currently engaged in a leisurely card game with the newly repaired K-S20. Doubts flicker among some rebels, who caution Cassian that this could be a treacherous trap, urging him to reconsider. Yet, Andor remains unyielding, his mind set on rushing to the signal's source.
Unfortunately, the Empire's ears also perk up at the distress call, scrutinizing the broadcast frequency and zeroing in on Kleya's hiding spot. Time has never been more precious, a ticking clock in the face of impending doom. As stormtroopers close in on her apartment, Andor lands and dashes towards her rescue. Arriving just in the nick of time, Andor listens intently as Kleya spills what she knows about the dreaded superweapon. He acknowledges the urgency but urges her to flee to the safety of Yavin.
Kleya hesitates, questioning the wisdom of such a move. Their conversation turns into a heated debate just as the telltale footsteps of approaching soldiers echo louder, encircling them.
