The third episode of "As You Stood By" commences with Jin-pyo and Hui-su returning home. As he makes his way to the parking lot, she attempts to take her own life, only to be stopped by Eun-su's timely arrival. Hui-su, convinced that seeking help would only complicate matters further, refutes Eun-su's offer of assistance. Instead, she begs Eun-su to hide and waits for Jin-pyo's return. Eun-su hears the sounds of Jin-pyo brutally assaulting Hui-su from within the house. Once Eun-su sneaks out, Hui-su hangs herself, but Jin-pyo, in a state of frenzy, saves her life without calling for an ambulance. He beats her for attempting suicide and demands that the CCTV footage be erased. She tries to take her own life again, and he caves in, destroying the camera.
Realizing that he won't even let her die peacefully, she agrees to Eun-su's plan to take out Jin-pyo. In her desperation, she imagines stabbing him and pushing him off the balcony. Meanwhile, Eun-su is busy picking So-baek's brain and he obliges, discussing how one can evade jail by ensuring there is no body. She particularly likes this idea, especially when she learns that Jin-pyo's doppelganger, Jang Kang, is an illegal stowaway from China.
She approaches him with an offer – he needs to fly to Shanghai with Jin-pyo's passport and then ditch it. He agrees, as he has a wife and child in China. Hui-su is a bit shaken by this plan, but Eun-su believes that with Jin-pyo's last known whereabouts being in China, it will clear them of all suspicions.
As for Jin-pyo, he is consumed by office politics as his boss steals Mrs Kim away from him. Jin-pyo not only learns that Eun-su was her personal shopper but also discovers CCTV footage showing her sneaking out of the closet the previous night.
He orchestrates a dinner invitation for Eun-su and Hui-su, using his deceptive ways to coerce Eun-su into assisting in Kim's return. Fearful of what he might do to Hui-su, Eun-su relents and, in turn, manipulates Kim into signing a deal with Jin-pyo. The women embark on their quest for revenge. They plot to murder Jin-pyo on the night he attends a company dinner and becomes inebriated, using Jin-pyo's connection with Kim to facilitate his disappearance. Jang Kang receives a haircut, a tailored suit, and the initial installment of the agreed-upon funds. Jin-young catches a glimpse of Eun-su and Jang Kang, mistaking it for an affair between her and her brother. Additionally, So-baek witnesses Jang Kang exiting Eun-su's car and later hears her speaking to him on the phone. So-baek also learns that Jang is about to depart for China. He attempts to reach out to Eun-su but receives no response.
Eun-su returns to the gym and pleads for help from her instructor, who perceives her desperation as sloppy. He imparts patience as a lesson and they engage in a sparring session, afterward announcing that their training sessions have come to an end.
The next day, Eun-su and Hui-su dig a grave deep within the forest. While Jin-pyo is preoccupied with the company dinner, he becomes sober upon noticing Hui-su's location in the woods. To further complicate matters, he receives a promotional text from the airline about his "booked" Shanghai flight. Realizing that Hui-su has nefarious plans, he hurls towards home. As he rushes in through the main door, he hears a sudden commotion within.
