Bad Influencer – Season 1 Episode 2 1

That night, Pinky trudges to a club, hoping to find a place to crash. Her pleas to an influencer friend are met with indifference, until BK shows up, offering her a deal that Pinky refuses to accept. Desperate and with no other options, she turns to Lelz at her hotel job, only to be rejected with a cold shoulder. With no other recourse, she turns to her abusive mother, who scoffs at her and refuses to let her stay.

In her hour of need, Pinky reaches out to BK again, who offers her a temporary haven at her place. There, the two sit in a stunned silence, talking about Pinky's tumultuous relationship with Mandla. The next morning, BK drops off her son Leo at school before taking Pinky to the product market to source leather and other materials for the bags.

Meanwhile, Themba orchestrates a task force raid on the counterfeit market, claiming that profits from these fake goods finance weapons, drugs, and child trafficking. When Themba spots BK entering the market, he's taken aback. Inside, BK explains to Pinky the intricate workings of counterfeit products and how her Triple-A quality bags stand out as superior to any other in the market.

Just as Themba instructs his team to commence the raid, BK meets her regular supplier, Fungai, to buy supplies. But Fungai has a secret - he's working with the police and warns BK about the impending raid. BK and Pinky rush out, but the cops catch them in their haste, arresting them before they can escape.

BK, her voice trembling with urgency, informs the officers that she must fetch her son from school, claiming that Pinky is merely her sister-in-law who had just paid a casual visit. The police, heeding her tale, release them. However, Pinky's fury boils over at the injustice of their arrest. Moments later, BK receives a panicked call from Leo's school, prompting her to race there only to discover that Leo had scaled the scaffolding in the aftermath of a bullying incident.

With determination in their eyes, BK and Pinky manage to coax him down safely. When the teacher labels Leo as "not normal," BK crumbles under the weight of her worries and confides in Pinky that she needs 200,000 rand merely to secure Leo a spot off the waiting list for a specialized school.

That night, as Pinky contemplates leaving, Leo pleads with her to stay. She promises to return later, and BK follows her outside, urging Pinky to be independent and never to lean on a man. Pinky agrees to work alongside her.

BK then reaches out to Bheki to source materials and is introduced to his boss, Bra Alex. Immediately, sparks fly between them as BK insults him for his indiscretions with underage girls and his penchant for wearing fake designer jackets. Her words enrage him until Bheki steps in, reminding him of BK's past endeavor - selling a fake bag online for 30,000 rand and dubbing her a "magician." Impressed, Bra Alex relents and agrees to supply BK in advance, asking for half the profit. BK counters with a 60-40 split instead.

That evening, BK and Pinky pick up Leo from the science club. Themba joins them, and as they plan to grab coffee together, Pinky teases BK on the ride home. Leo's happiness radiates as he sees his mother genuinely content.

Meanwhile, Themba shares the details of their date with Fungai and decides to clear BK and Pinky's criminal records. The episode ends with Fungai being abducted by thugs, while Themba's crime board pins Bra Alex as the prime suspect.
