Episode 7 of *Beauty in Black* opens with a frantic Charles calling Varney for assistance, only to be met with indifference as Varney ignores his plea. Desperate, Charles then dials Roy, who is currently engrossed in a flirtatious conversation with Felicia. As Charles attempts to convey the urgency of his situation—that he's been attacked—Roy continues to ramble on about their impending meeting with Kimmie at the office that day, seemingly oblivious to Charles's distress.
Meanwhile, Felicia is nestled in bed with Trackson, the two of them discussing how Roy has fallen under Trackson's sway. Suddenly, Trackson's phone rings, interrupting their intimate moment; it's a call from work regarding a double homicide at the very motel where he and Felicia are ensconced.
Elsewhere, Angel is in conversation with Horace, who is aboard a flight. Horace implores Angel to ensure Kimmie answers his calls. Horace advises Kimmie to make a grand, fashionably late entrance, noting that his family detests waiting for others. He instructs her to report back to him immediately after the meeting concludes, expressing his desire for Kimmie to reveal her authentic self to his family and wishing her the best of luck.
During this flurry of activity, Trackson informs Jules of the tragic deaths of Daga and Shake Shake. Jules discovers that Rain had been at the club to rendezvous with Adelaine, the stripper who was previously associated with Daga and Shake Shake, but who has now mysteriously vanished. Jules asserts that Alex aided him in some capacity, though Trackson remains unconvinced, certain that Alex would never involve himself in such matters.
Jules requests Trackson's help in locating Adelaine and, in the process, learns of Roy's recent entanglement with Felicia—a revelation that does not sit well with Jules. In response, Trackson cautions Alex about Jules's growing suspicion and asks Alex to lay low for a while.
Kimmie, meanwhile, prepares for her inaugural day at work and departs with Alex. After Kimmie's departure, Sylvie heads to the stables, prompting concern from Rain. However, Angel reassures her that he will keep a watchful eye on Sylvie. At the office, Olivia and Norman exchange puzzled glances, wondering what Horace is up to this time. Norman then drops a bombshell: Horace is entangled with a Latino man whom Horace had once ordered to be killed.
Angel and Sylvie engage in a conversation, but Sylvie's remark about Angel's relationship with Horace ignites a fierce anger within her. Later, Sylvie crosses paths with Glen, the stable boy, and they strike up a chat about horses. In a revealing moment, Glen discloses that he is Jules' son and extends an offer to assist Sylvie in riding the horses. Meanwhile, Jules encounters Roy and wastes no time in confronting him about his unannounced arrival at the club. Roy, unfazed, requests Jules to send Felicia over to his office, expressing his desire to hire her as his assistant. Despite Jules' attempts to argue, Roy exerts his influence, compelling Jules to bring Felicia to the office.
In another part of town, Angel heads to the garage and approaches Whitman, requesting the keys to one of Horace's prized cars. She then turns to James, the butler, and asks for his credit card, only to be stunned upon discovering that it has no spending limit. Eager for a drive, Angel sets off, while Mallory arrives at the office ahead of Kimmie.
On the way to the office, Horace engages Kimmie in a conversation about Mallory, advising her to be cautious around her. Meanwhile, Mallory meets Varney and confides in him about her plan to feign friendliness towards Kimmie. Her irritation escalates when she learns that the entire staff has gathered in the lobby to welcome Kimmie. Determined to make Kimmie wait, Mallory retreats to her room.
Rain awakens to find that Sylvie is still at the stables and rushes over to check on her. Back at the office, Kimmie arrives to a round of applause from the staff. Mallory makes a grand entrance as well and raises a toast in Kimmie's honor. She introduces Kimmie to the team, but Kimmie insists on being addressed as Mrs. Bellarie. Demanding the staff's attention once more, she retreats to her cabin, requesting Roy to accompany her. Mallory, taken aback, dismisses the staff.
The episode reaches its climax as Rain discovers Glen on top of Sylvie, their pants down in a compromising position. Before either can utter a word, Rain, in a fit of rage, shoves Glen off the balcony, resulting in his tragic death.
