As episode 3 of Beef begins, George and Amy embark on a journey of couples therapy, seeking to mend the cracks in their relationship. The repressed feelings and pent-up frustrations that had been simmering inside him erupted in a fiery outburst, echoing the patterns he had witnessed in his parents. Amy, too, acknowledges that she has inherited some of her parents' traits but is determined to find healthier ways to cope. George sees this as a pivotal moment in their healing process.

Meanwhile, Danny struggles to remove the stubborn white paint from his truck, his frustration mounting. Paul, still unaware that Amy is a fake profile, continues his conversation with her. In a fit of anger and retaliation, Danny prepares to blow up Amy's car. But as he's about to strike the match, he spots June giggling inside, causing him to halt his plan, frantically wipe away the kerosene, and flee. Danny feels compelled to confront Paul about his near-miss with disaster, realizing how close he came to harming a child.

Beef – Season 1 Episode 3 1

Paul, deep in his Zen state, has arranged a meeting with Kayla, Amy's fictitious alter ego. Naomi advises Amy to woo Jordana, reminding her that the business deal is hanging in the balance due to Jordana's lack of follow-up. Danny decides to visit the church, Living Glory, as Veronica suggested, sensing that it might be his last chance to find peace. The experience turns out to be deeply cathartic as he breaks down in tears while the church band sings "Hallelujah."

Amy's meeting with Jordana goes smoothly, but Jordana insists on getting to know her better before finalizing the deal, using the potential partnership as leverage. Veronica and Edwin encounter Danny in his vulnerable state and offer comfort, explaining that his emotional outburst is common and nothing to be ashamed of. When Veronica inquiries if he plans to return, Danny hesitates, but she persuades him to fill out a welcome form, leaving the door open for a possible return.

Amy engaged in a conversation with George, who expertly soothed her frayed nerves. However, while attempting to share another photograph with her, he mistakenly sent her a screenshot of Mia's bikini picture, which caught her in a deep and pensive mood. Intrigued by the photo, Amy decided to embark on an experiment.

She sent a snap of her legs to Paul, who was eagerly online and promptly requested a FaceTime call. When Amy politely declined, Paul eagerly shared his phone number, prompting her to initiate a call. During their conversation, the deepest revelation came when Amy confessed her aversion to pretending she didn't dislike certain things.

Amy found Paul's responses highly amusing as he candidly revealed his hatred for Danny at that moment. He also candidly admitted his attraction to her. Suddenly, as a crow flew past her, Amy seemed to snap out of her reverie, feeling perplexed about her actions. She promptly deleted Paul's contact from her phone.

Meanwhile, Jordana's assistant informed her that she would be unable to attend the meeting. Danny struggled to express his emotions to Isaac, but his words fell on deaf ears. He ruefully reflected on his choice to always do the right thing, which had ironically led him to such a precarious situation.

During their therapy sessions, Amy's emotional facade finally crumbled. She confessed that she had been feeling emotionally blocked lately. She revealed that she had sought help in college but had found it unsuccessful. At times, she worried that if she were to confide in George, he wouldn't understand. Ironically, George's subsequent response proved her fears to be unwarranted.

Even though Amy is aware that Danny isn't voicing her desired words, she finds solace in his confessions. Danny approaches a representative from the bank, eager to inquire about the availability of a loan. However, his less-than-stellar credit score and inconsistent income stream pose significant obstacles, making it highly unlikely that he'll secure a loan in the near future. Nevertheless, the bank representative suggests that Danny's church might be able to assist him in devising a plan.

Unexpectedly, Jordana arrives at the house, presenting Amy with a term sheet. Amy's heart sinks as she reads the terms, which stipulate that she must remain in her position for an additional five years. Jordana explains that the board has made this decision and urges Amy to attend an event with her to plead her case.

Danny discusses the situation with Pastor Kim, who agrees to bring it before the Elders. Danny has a secret plan with Isaac, one that raises serious concerns and should set off warning bells. Amy is torn about whether to accept the offer, feeling torn between her career and her personal desires.

Out of the blue, Paul unexpectedly appears at Amy's store, catching her off guard. She quickly sends Mia to the backroom to avoid any awkward encounters. Amy tries to handle the situation gracefully, but before Paul can leave, Mia emerges from the back and confronts him. The tense situation quickly escalates, but Amy manages to diffuse the tension by taking Paul outside and confessing her true feelings.

Amy apologizes to Paul for misleading him and, as she vents about her own insecurities about her appearance, Paul surprises her with a tender kiss. He declares that she is hotter than Mia, leaving Amy stunned and flustered. Meanwhile, George indulges in a private fantasy, masturbating to a photo of Mia, while Danny finds an outlet for his emotions by singing his heart out at the church, bringing Episode 3 to a chaotic and unpredictable conclusion.
