Bet – Season 1 Episode 3 1

Observing this escalating culture of wagering, Kira becomes acutely aware of the necessity to rein in Yumeko and the gambling subculture she has inadvertently nurtured. The student council, already grappling with maintaining discipline, finds itself increasingly challenged by this uncontrolled spread.

In the confines of her room, Yumeko leafs through yearbooks, determined to uncover the identity of her parents' killer. However, her journey to the library to delve deeper is thwarted when she discovers the books mysteriously missing. It transpires that Dori, having seized them all, has issued a challenge to Yumeko: a dance-off to reclaim her precious yearbooks. Unfortunately, Yumeko falls short in the challenge, incurring a significant financial loss.

Elsewhere, Michael, astute to the undercurrents of tension within the student council, recognizes the root cause: a decentralized side-betting system beyond their regulatory reach. Determined to address this, he embarks on developing an app designed to monitor and manage these side bets.

Around the same time, Ryan generously volunteers to instruct Yumeko in the art of dancing, a pursuit he had reluctantly embarked upon at his parents' insistence. Their shared session becomes a conduit for emotional connection, as both confide in the loss of their parents at tender ages, forging a bond rooted in mutual sorrow.

Elsewhere, Dori pays Michael a visit, her actions subtly hinting at burgeoning interest. In parallel, Mary seeks financial assistance from a classmate to indulge in her gambling whims, only to be met with stern opposition from Kira. Her subsequent encounter with Yumeko reveals a startling discovery: Dori had committed the dance moves to memory, suggesting that the game had been subtly manipulated from its onset.

Yumeko and Mary confront Dori, demanding a rematch that swiftly escalates into a fierce physical confrontation, with victory granted to the first to draw blood. As the duel intensifies, students eagerly wager on the outcome, while Michael and Mary monitor the bets through an app Michael has recently developed.

In the midst of the fray, Dori lunges at Yumeko with swords, her aggression unrelenting. Yumeko, quick-witted and resourceful, employs Ryan's tie as a makeshift shield. She soon gains mastery over the swords, delivering a decisive blow to Dori's nose, drawing blood and securing her victory.

Following the tumultuous event, Kira unveils a new app, an unmistakable rip-off of Michael's creation, designed to track illicit betting within school grounds. Michael's realization dawns that Dori had stealthily pilfered his source code during her earlier visit.

Later, in the privacy of her room, Mary confides in Yumeko about a damaging rumor whispering that Ryan had tragically ended his father's life. Yumeko dismisses the tale as preposterous. Meanwhile, it transpires that Dori's obsession with Michael has crossed dangerous boundaries, evidenced by a covert camera she has surreptitiously installed in his quarters.

The following day, Yumeko stumbles upon a shocking discovery: Blake's stepfather is none other than Raymond Rowe, the very same individual who shares a frame with her parents in an old photograph. This bombshell of information ignites a fury within her, transforming her calm demeanor into a tempest of emotions. The episode culminates in a dramatic scene, where Yumeko, driven by a storm of rage, lunges towards Raymond, her actions a stark contrast to her usual composure.
