The episode begins with a captivating deception, dispelling any notion of elaborate processes; instead, we witness Lalo, dressed in a soiled overall, emerging from a manhole. He changes, indulges in a shower, rests, and then drives his car back to the manhole, all while an ominous purpose looms in the background. His motive is revealed: Lalo has eyes on Fring's meth lab and dials Hector to inform him of the lab and his plans against Fring. Hector's fury boils over when Lalo reveals his suicidal plan, but he is powerless to stop it.

The scene then swiftly shifts to the cliffhanger of the previous episode. Saul is frantically scurrying around, rallying his team to recreate the image of Judge Casimiro in a sling. Kim also returns to assist Saul. The photos are captured, and another grand surprise awaits us: the PI Howard had hired, Ginodowski, is actually working for Saul. He is given the photos to present to Howard on the day of the mediation, causing Howard to become paranoid and create a scene. And that is precisely what happens.
We also learn the reason behind Saul's visit to the vet in the last episode. It was to obtain a drug that dilates one's pupils when it comes in contact with the skin. Saul laces the photos with this drug and Howard touches them. The moment Howard sees Casimiro enter, he suggests that the judge is compromised, as he is seen accepting money from Saul in the photo. He asks Julie to fetch them from his office. However, the photos we see feature Saul with a man wearing a hat, not Casimiro or the actor playing him. This is because the PI had altered the photos after Howard left his office. The mediation is called off, and Cliff accepts a substantially reduced settlement. Howard's antics are attributed to his supposed cocaine addiction, and his professional career teeters on the brink of uncertainty; it seems like his world is crumbling around him.
Mike then reaches Fring and informs him that Lalo is back, and Fring must appear to be alone in his house to lure Lalo into a trap. The plan to take him out remains intact. We then witness Kim and Saul "celebrate" their victory, their six-episode-long planning yielding great satisfaction. The doorbell rings, and it's Howard, entering with a bottle of wine and seeking to understand the reasons behind the couple's relentless efforts to destroy his life. An uneasy tension hangs in the air, and an unexpected guest walks in through the door: Lalo. Saul and Kim have a ghastly look on their face and insist Howard leave the house. Lalo asks him to stay, and just as Howard is about to leave the scene, Lalo shoots him dead.
