The premiere of "Bitch X Rich" season 2 kicks off with an eerie voice recording of a telephone conversation between Si-eun and a figure presumably identified as Hye-in. Hye-in's urgent plea to Si-eun to withhold a compromising video sets the stage for an unexpected twist. The conversation is abruptly interrupted by another voice calling for Si-eun, followed by a harrowing scream that heralds her untimely demise. The scene swiftly transitions to Hye-in arriving at school, just as Si-eun's lifeless body plummets to the ground below, leaving her stunned and scrambling to retrieve Si-eun's phone—to no avail. The arrival of the police soon after seals off the area, marking the beginning of a harrowing investigation.
The next day, Si-eun's tragic passing dominates the whispers and conversations among students. Hye-in finds herself at the center of suspicion, with rumors spreading like wildfire that she is responsible for Si-eun's death. Matters are compounded when the police summon her from class for interrogation, their probing questions hinting at a deeper involvement despite their official stance that she is merely a witness. Hye-in stands firm in her innocence, refusing to divulge the reasons behind Si-eun's blackmailing.
Back at the school's helm, Seo Hee-su convenes an emergency board meeting, vowing to shield the institution's reputation from the scandal. Both the school administration and Si-eun's grieving parents advocate for the case to be classified as a suicide. Elsewhere, Je-na and Yul-hee don a false facade of friendship, their bond fragile and strained by mutual suspicions and unresolved grievances stemming from Hae-in's death and Yul-hee's tarnished birthday celebration.
Hye-in's plight weighs heavily on her father, who grapples with the soaring legal fees for her defense and considers trimming their household expenses. At school, she faces relentless bullying led by Bo-seok and his cronies, who accuse her of murder. Despite the odds, Hye-in fights back, finding an unexpected ally in Lee Sa-rang, the younger brother of Lee So-mang. So-mang, having departed for the United States, has entrusted his brother with the task of safeguarding Hye-in.
Meanwhile, Je-na's world is upended when her father summons her to his office to break the news of his impending divorce. He urges her to dismiss the impending publicity, but Je-na's thoughts are consumed by worry for her mother. Her confrontation with her father escalates into a volatile exchange, culminating in a slap and Je-na's declaration that he has crossed a line before storming away, her emotions in tatters.
Hye-in notices Je-na in a state of urgency, desperately waving down taxis to rush to her mother's side. Je-na, so preoccupied with her mother's welfare that she narrowly escapes being struck by several speeding vehicles, fails to notice the danger around her. Ignoring the ringing phones and unanswered calls, Hye-in lends a helping hand, successfully flagging down a cab and requesting the driver to silence the radio, which inadvertently starts broadcasting news about Je-na's family's ordeal. Fortunately, Je-na's mother is unharmed, merely intoxicated, urging her daughter not to succumb to defeat as she once did. Soon after, Je-na's father arrives to collect her, leaving Hye-in stranded as she had been awaiting Je-na's return.
The next day, Yul-hee inquisitively asks Je-na if she has received her "gift," which unexpectedly materializes as a summons to a disciplinary committee meeting concerning allegations of school violence. Revealed to be a vengeful act by Yul-hee, Je-na remains unperturbed, casually hinting at her suspicion that Yul-hee might be implicated in Hae-in's demise.
Later, upon arriving at school, Hye-in finds herself at the center of gossip concerning her father. In a scuffle with Bo-seok, she inadvertently injures him, prompting his mother to demand her expulsion. Hye-in's father, in a desperate attempt to plead for leniency, finds himself on his knees, a sight that enrages Hye-in. She defiantly retorts to Bo-seok's mother, only to be pulled aside by a teacher who solemnly reminds her of the gravity of her predicament. Should Bo-seok's mother pursue legal action, Hye-in's future could be irrevocably compromised.
The episode concludes with Hye-in joining her father, both of them kneeling in submission. Though she loathes this position, Hye-in is resolute in her determination to break free from the shackles of social inequality. As she utters her apologies, a scheme of retaliation begins to take shape in her mind.
