Black Out – K-drama Episode 7 1

Shifting gears to the present, Geon-ho, burdened with remorse, offers Jeong-woo an apology, accompanied by a suitcase that holds a surprising secret—Bo-young's iconic purple backpack. Parallel to this, Gu-tak frantically dispatches Heung-soo and Choo-ho on a mission to retrieve Geon-ho before he can deliver the suitcase to Jeong-woo.

Upon laying eyes on the backpack, Jeong-woo's world is turned upside down. His hands tremble as he delves into its depths, uncovering Bo-young's phone. With a mix of hope and trepidation, he rushes to the storage, scavenging for an old charger, desperate to uncover its secrets.

Meanwhile, Hyung-sik embarks on an uneasy journey with Ha-seol, her discomfort palpable as they draw closer to Su-oh. At the greenhouse, Ha-seol finally secures a private moment with Su-oh, shattering his world with the revelation that his cherished paintings are missing. Distraught, Su-oh entrusts Ha-seol with the urgent task of delivering his art to Jeong-woo.

Hyung-sik's intrusion disrupts this fragile exchange, his concern palpable as he tries to comprehend Su-oh's distress. Ha-seol, quick-witted, diverts Su-oh's attention with a gentle lie about his painting aspirations.

Back at Gu-tak's abode, the air is thick with tension as Dong-min and Jae-hee clash over Bo-young's final resting place. Dong-min's heartfelt plea to keep her memory alive through her body clashes with Jae-hee's resolute opposition, igniting a fiery argument that echoes through the house.

As the episode unfolds, each character's emotions and motivations are laid bare, painting a vivid portrait of a world torn apart by secrets, loss, and the relentless pursuit of truth.

Bo-young's phone miraculously flickers to life, and Jeong-woo delves into its messages with urgency. Meanwhile, Heung-soo and Choo-ho sneak into Jeong-woo's abode, their intentions clear: to abduct Geon-woo and the mysterious suitcase before Jeong-woo's return. Geon-oh, however, resists fiercely, darting into Jeong-woo's bedroom. Desperate, he attempts to conceal a notebook nestled within Bo-young's bag, but Heung-soo forces the door open, wrenching the bag from Geon-oh's grasp. Choo-ho swiftly adds the bag to the suitcase, preparing to spirit Geon-oh away, when Jeong-woo, having secreted the phone in the storeroom, reenters the fray. The two assailants viciously attack Jeong-woo, rendering him unconscious, and carry Geon-oh off to Gu-tak's lair.

As fate would have it, Sang-cheol calls Jeong-woo out of concern, only to be met with muffled sounds on the other end. Alarmed, he rushes to Jeong-woo's house, finding him in a state of unconsciousness. Ha-seol, arriving at Mucheon at the opportune moment, happens upon the scene and is enlisted by Sang-cheol to oversee Jeong-woo's care at the hospital while he delves into the attack's mysteries.

At Gu-tak's residence, Choo-ho's frustration boils over into a confrontation, lambasting Gu-tak for treating them like disposable pawns. Heung-soo, on the other hand, falls to his knees, begging Gu-tak for assistance, desperate to escape their predicament.

Ha-seol, now at the hospital, learns of Jeong-woo's fragile state, requiring days of rest to recover. Parallel to this, Sang-cheol's relentless pursuit of clues leads him to spend the night in the storeroom, where he stumbles upon Bo-young's phone. Upon examining its contents, he uncovers a chilling video from the fateful night of Bo-young's murder, revealing Geon-oh, Byeong-moo, and Min-su in a drunken revelry with Bo-young at the desolate warehouse. The footage serves as a haunting testament to the events that preceded her tragic end.

The video vividly captures Bo-young urging Geon-oh to retreat home, only to return with a prestigious bottle of liquor in tow. Meanwhile, Geon-oh confesses to Gu-tak, weighed down by guilt, that he intends to surrender for his misdeeds. Gu-tak, desperate to thwart this plan, confines Geon-oh within the confines of a room, determined to keep him in check until he can be extradited back to the United States.

Returning from the hospital, Jeong-woo's path unexpectedly crosses with Sang-cheol, who chastises him for attempting to conceal the incriminating phone evidence against their mutual friends. Jeong-woo, unfazed, forcibly ejects Sang-cheol from his sanctuary and stumbles upon Geon-oh's hiding spot—a textbook concealing Bo-young's missing undergarments. Sang-cheol implores Jeong-woo to safeguard this revelation from Gu-tak, given the uncertainty surrounding his allegiances.

Gu-tak's sudden arrival at Jeong-woo's abode prompts Sang-cheol to reveal the previous night's assault that left Jeong-woo hospitalized. Jeong-woo then summons Byeong-moo and Min-soo to his home for a heart-to-heart conversation. Parallel to this, Choo-ho and Heung-soo vent their frustrations over Gu-tak's abusive treatment, with Choo-ho reaching his breaking point and assuring Ha-seol of her indefinite stay.

Meanwhile, Na-kyeom ventures to the hospital, seeking Hyung-sik's ear on the matter of Jeong-woo and his mother. She reminisces about her teenage days as a hospital volunteer, painting a poignant picture of her past. A fleeting memory surfaces, revealing Hyung-sik's flirtatious encounters with Da-eun, a fellow high schooler. However, the present-day Hyung-sik is baffled by his inability to recall such a charming figure as Na-kyeom.

The revelation that her husband was seen in the company of Ha-seol sends Assemblywoman Young-sil into a frenzy. She rushes to Hyung-sik's office, only to find him engaged in conversation with Na-kyeom. The trio engages in a brief yet significant discourse, ultimately leading to Na-kyeom's departure, leaving behind a palpable tension in the air.

Meanwhile, at Jeong-woo's abode, he cunningly attempts to entice Byeong-moo and Min-soo into sipping from glasses, his ulterior motive being the covert collection of their DNA samples. Min-soo unwittingly obliges, while Byeong-moo remains steadfast, refusing to touch his drink. An urgent call summons the policeman to duty, prompting the duo's hasty departure. Young-sil inquisitively interrogates Hyung-sik about his previous evening's rendezvous with Ha-seol, and he divulges that she was a friend of Su-oh, seeking to make his acquaintance.

Outside Gu-tak's residence, Jeong-woo discovers Ha-seol patiently waiting. He stealthily inputs the cop's house code, sneaking inside to find Geon-oh imprisoned in a locked chamber. In a daring act of solidarity, Ha-seol and Jeong-woo orchestrate Geon-oh's escape, whisking him away from the premises.

As Jeong-woo's companions depart, Sang-cheol meticulously gathers the glass imbued with Min-soo's saliva, along with Jeong-woo's own DNA sample, setting his nefarious plan into motion. He invites Byeong-moo and his team to a meal, where he slyly swaps Byeong-moo's spoon, sneaking away to deposit the incriminating evidence at the National Forensic Department.

At the police station, Gu-tak and Hee-do delve into the latest revelations stemming from Bo-young's skeletal discovery, igniting Byeong-moo's suspicions. He embarks on a stealthy tail of Sang-cheol, but the cunning cop manages to evade detection, successfully submitting the DNA samples of Min-soo, Byeong-moo, and Jeong-woo for investigation into Bo-young's underwear, revealing their involvement in her assault.

Guilt-ridden, Geon-oh confesses his role to Jeong-woo, implicating Min-soo and Byeong-moo in the heinous crime. Fueled by rage, Jeong-woo storms to the hospital, confronting Min-soo with aggressive accusations.

In a twist of fate, Sang-cheol receives the damning reports, conclusively proving Min-soo and Byeong-moo's guilt in sexually assaulting Bo-young. Byeong-moo, realizing the reports hold the key to his downfall, races to the Forensic Department, only to discover that Sang-cheol has already seized them. In a desperate chase, he pursues the cop through the streets. The episode concludes on a chilling note, with Min-soo laying the blame for Bo-young's tragedy squarely on Jeong-woo's shoulders.
