Bosch: Legacy – Season 2 Episode 8 1

Returning to his abode, Harry efficiently extracts and dismantles the tracker embedded in his car. In a collaborative effort with Chandler, they scrutinize the DVD procured from the watchmaker's shop, which uncovers Ellis and Long in hushed negotiations with the Nguyen brothers. Recalling a similar testimony from James Allen's last companion, who too had mentioned a 'muscle car,' the duo's suspicions about Ellis and Long deepen. Armed with this new lead, they embark on a quest to a garage frequented by officers, where Harry uncovers a silver car registered under Ellis' name. Snapshots and a receipt serve as incriminating evidence, meticulously noted for further investigation.

Meanwhile, Chandler ventures back to the graveyard, seeking additional security footage from the water tower, desperate to tie Ellis' car to the motel where James Allen breathed his last. Elsewhere, Ellis and Long receive the alarming news of Harry's survival, casting a pall of dread over them; Harry's awareness poses a dire threat.

Agent Baron informs FBI agents Jones and James that the search warrants in the Carl Rogers case are forthcoming, albeit at a slower pace than anticipated. However, he harbors an alternative strategy to pursue in parallel. Jones and James confront Maddie at the precinct, grilling her about her whereabouts during Rogers' release and Chandler's emotions following the event. Maddie concedes their collective dismay but remains tight-lipped on further inquiries. The agents' accusation that Harry might be entangled in domestic terrorism prompts a stern refusal from Maddie to divulge any more information.

Maddie confronts Harry, seeking clarity on the labyrinthine truth, but he places her welfare above disclosure, shielding her from the stark realities. Mo, armed with the footage Chandler procured, verifies that Ellis and Long indeed visited Allen on the fateful night of his demise. Their conjecture weaves a tale where Schubert orchestrated Ellis and Long to swipe the watch to settle gambling debts, subsequently selling it to the Nguyen brothers under the shroud of secrecy. Harrick, unwittingly, acquires the stolen timepiece for Lexi, who discovers its illicit origins, prompting her to confront the Nguyen brothers and inadvertently exposing Ellis and Long. In a chain reaction of events, Ellis and Long eliminate Lexi and frame Foster for her murder, presenting a seemingly neat conclusion. Yet, the mystery deepens as they grapple with the enigma of Foster's DNA at the crime scene.

Harry apprises Chandler of the FBI's conversation with Maddie, reassuring him that her career will remain unscathed by the ordeal. Meanwhile, Ellis urgency whispers to Long about the dire need for drastic measures, sensing Harry's relentless pursuit. Harry ventures to Dr. Schubert's abode, intent on discussing Lexi Parks and alerting him to the impending peril. Little do they know, Ellis and Long are hot on their trail, storming the residence without mercy. Schubert flees to the sanctuary of the upper floor, where Harry joins him, hastily dialing 911. Schubert pleads innocence, insisting he revealed nothing to Harry, but Long's trigger-happy finger silences him regardless. Gunfire erupts, painting the house with chaos, and Harry, amidst the tempest, manages to fell Long, though Ellis slips through the fingers of justice.

Long lies dying, yet Harry's concern is singular – the whereabouts of Ellis. Long, clinging to his last breath, remains tight-lipped. The authorities arrive, commanding Harry to surrender, as he recounts to the detectives every detail of Ellis and Long's role in Lexi's demise. Harry suspects Ellis will target the sex workers he previously exploited, prompting Chandler to offer the sanctuary of her safe house.

Harry and Maddie engage in candid conversations about every facet of their lives, and Harry insists that he harbors no regrets concerning the unfolding events. Maddie, curious, inquiries whether Harry would ever deceive her, to which he promptly responds with a resolute no.

Elsewhere, Foster lies hospitalized, a victim of an assault that occurred within the confines of prison. Meanwhile, Chandler convenes with the prosecutor and the judge, advocating for Foster's placement in protective custody until the trial commences. They concurringly agree to this arrangement.

The FBI, armed with their newly obtained search warrants, simultaneously executes raids on Harry's apartment and Chandler's office. Martin Rose, visibly disheartened, laments that this situation casts a shadow over his firm's reputation and expresses the possibility of reassessing Chandler's position within the company.

As the episode draws to a close, the FBI's search yields limited findings of significance. However, they uncover a recording of Chandler threatening Carl Rogers, which prompts them to suspect that she was privy to the explosion prior to its occurrence. Consequently, they descend upon Chandler's residence and place her under arrest.
