Meanwhile, the government tactfully shifts gears, showering Patricia with praise for capturing the hearts of the public. Within the hospital's hectic walls, a new crisis erupts—a prison fire, igniting a flurry of activity. Jesica, having capitulated to the pressures, returns to her duties, leaving the strike behind. As Pilar and Biel battle to save a stabbed prison staff member, Jesica assumes charge of the severely burned perpetrator.

Both patients plunge into cardiac arrest, casting a pall of despair over the scene. With Pilar summoned elsewhere, Jesica issues a heart-wrenching order to Biel, instructing him to abandon the dying victim in favor of saving the culprit. Biel's fury simmers, yet he reluctantly complies, the victim's fate sealed.

As the culprit slowly regains consciousness, Jesica endeavors to mend bridges with Biel, offering an apology for concealing Lluis from him while chastising him for his rigid stance on whom they should prioritize. Their beliefs diverge, and Biel, unswayed, walks away.

Elsewhere, Pilar's plea for protester assistance echoes through the hospital's corridors, overwhelmed by a deluge of critical cases. Many yield to the call, ending their strike. Amidst this chaos, Hugo, one of the injured prisoners, becomes a poignant reminder of the strike's human cost. His parents, panicked, manipulate connections to expedite his surgery, sparking Lluis's ire. He confronts Leo, accusing her of Hugo's plight and demanding she reveal her role in mismanaging Joana's examination. Leo's heart heavy, she confronts the criticism that challenges her unwavering trust in victims first.

However, driven by the unwavering desire to save her son, she resolutely decides to confess the truth, yet she yearns for a conversation with Hugo first. With a steely determination, she confides in Hugo, revealing all while Lluis stands by her side, confidently proclaiming her readiness to shoulder the entire burden. But Hugo's revelation, that Joana had indeed implored him to stop yet he didn't, shatters Leo's heart while casting a pall of disappointment over Lluis's face.

May, on the other hand, is stunned when Rocio retaliates by hiring a lawyer who menacingly threatens her for endangering their child. Enraged, she vows to fiercely contest Rocio for custody, her resolve unshaken.

Patricia's world crumbles as she learns from a private physician that her cancer has metastasized, a grim prognosis signaling its inevitable spread. To compound her misery, she discovers that Moa intends to confront her on a high-profile talk show. Desperate for clarity, she summons Biel, seeking his candid opinion on the surgery's prospects. His sorrowful explanation that the cancer had already disseminated by the time they operated only deepens her despair.

The next day, Emilio arrives, armed with a damning revelation that could dismantle Moa's stance. Quique, meanwhile, finds solace in Oscar's company at the cancer ward, sharing a voice message that bares his tumultuous emotions. Oscar, initially irked by Quique's fluctuating behavior, listens intently as Quique professes his fearless love, unfazed by Oscar's tender age or their unconventional circumstances. Amused and moved, Oscar bridges the gap with a kiss, leading to an intimate encounter in the bathroom's confines.

The debate ensues, a fierce clash of ideologies as both Moa and Patricia present compelling arguments. Patricia advocates for healthcare privatization, insisting her model will ensure affordability, yet Moa remains skeptical, highlighting the myriad challenges that hinder affordable private medical care. Tempted to unleash her arsenal against Moa, Patricia ultimately refrains.

As night falls, Moa's jog through troubled streets ends in a brutal attack by locals angered by the ongoing strike. Rushed to the hospital, the union's resolve falters, opting to halt the strike to shield its members. Patricia, visiting him, reveals her secret weapon—Moa's past investigation for allegedly aiding his wife's suicide, despite his eventual acquittal. She warns that the public's wrath would have consumed him had she exposed it, but now offers a deal: she'll do whatever he asks if he can perform the impossible and cure her cancer. At the heartrending conclusion of Breathless Episode 6, Patricia clutches Moa tightly, her voice filled with desperation as she begs him to save her life.
