On a parallel note, Jesica's world is shaken when her former mentor, Clotilde, is rushed in, gravely injured from a fence impalement. Biel, ever the compassionate soul, lends a helping hand without hesitation, eliciting a heartfelt response from Jesica. However, Clotilde's relentless complaints of pain lead Jesica to suspect a morphine addiction. Her suspicions deepen as Clotilde repeatedly forgets about the tragic loss of her daughter and Rodri, which Jesica initially attributes to the vice of narcotics.

Digging deeper into Clotilde's medical history, Jesica discovers a pattern of frequent falls, fueling her belief in self-harm for drug access. But a stunning revelation awaits her as she conducts a CAT scan – Clotilde is grappling with a swift onset of Alzheimer's, the true culprit behind her injuries and confusion.

In the midst of this emotional turmoil, Biel stumbles upon a despondent Jesica in the on-call room and offers her a comforting embrace. As Jesica confides, she finds solace in knowing that Clotilde's illness may alleviate her own anguish over forgetting Rodri. Yet, guilt gnaws at her, mirroring the very pain she seeks to escape. Biel's embrace becomes a sanctuary, a reminder of human connection amidst the storm.

Elsewhere, Patricia's treatment journey takes a disconcerting turn as she finds herself under the care of Celina, an oncologist who fails to ease her discomfort. Insistent on Moa's involvement, she demands that Celina consult with him before proceeding with any therapeutic plan. Meanwhile, Moa's quest to uncover the truth about Patricia's metastasis hits a dead end – her records have vanished, and she's purged Ventura from the Department of Health, leaving a trail of unanswered questions and a sense of unease hanging heavy in the air.

At home, Quique and Oscar's secret liaison and indulgence in drugs persisted, their lives intertwined in a web of addiction. But fate intervened when May's waters broke during one of Quique's shifts, leaving only Oscar, clouded by the haze of drugs, to attend to her. In the chaos of summoning a taxi, Oscar's fragile state caught up with him, and he collapsed, leaving May helpless in her urgency.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Oscar's panicked flight was hindered only slightly by May's agony, as she struggled to restrain him. Quique and Biel eventually arrived, finding May reproachful towards Quique for enabling Oscar's destructive path. Quique, ever the deflector, jestingly brushed it off, unaware of May's romantic entanglements, which remained a mystery to them all. Leo, however, reassured them with a firm belief in May's recovery.

Elsewhere, Moa sought solace in Biel's presence, beseeching him to stand by his side during the looming ethics review. Biel, haunted by his past, felt a sense of injustice; for him, the ultimate ally had been his childhood doctor, who had guided him through the darkness of cancer. Meanwhile, Patricia's chemo sessions were disrupted by a swarm of visitors, prompting Biel to find her a secluded corner in the children's ward.

Celina, striking a deal, offered Moa access to crucial records on metastasis in exchange for his expertise in advising on Patricia's treatment, given his intimate knowledge of her medical history. As they sat in companionable silence, Patricia confided that she would never have used Moa's late wife as a weapon in their debate. Their bond grew stronger as they delved into personal matters, Patricia curiously inquiring about Moa's romantic life post-loss.

Their moment of intimacy was abruptly shattered by an intrusive reporter, who snapped a photo of Patricia, vulnerable and attached to her chemo machine, before fleeing. Moa, fueled by protectiveness, chased after the culprit and seized the camera, entrusting it to Leo to eliminate the evidence.
