Episode 2 of "Brewing Love" kicks off with Min-ju inquiring about Yong-ju's wellbeing, catching Yong-ju off guard as he swiftly recognizes his unintended closeness and retreats. Sharing this moment with Min-ho, he learns that Min-ju typically brushes off such gestures unnoticed. Yong-ju returns home, where her grandmother pierces through her forced cheerfulness, prompting Yong-ju to reassure her that a solution is within reach.
The following morning, an unexpected visit from the head of marketing at Jisang presents Yong-ju with an ultimatum: join the marketing team and convince Min-ju to collaborate with Jisang, or face the closure of the Busan branch. Without hesitation, Yong-ju accepts the challenge.
In a swift turn of events, Yong-ju and her grandmother bid farewell to their熟悉 surroundings and relocate to Seoul. Upon arriving at the office, Yong-ju greets Beom Kang, who has also made the move alongside her. The marketing head informs them of Min-ju's steadfast refusal to engage with Jisang representatives, but Yong-ju vows to press ahead immediately.
Meanwhile, back in Chungcheong, Min-ju is jolted awake by the village chief's loudspeaker announcement of an impending beer festival, requesting her assistance in planning. Elsewhere, Ah-reum and her colleague delve into the intricacies of marriage, with Ah-reum revealing her ambition to tie the knot and her relentless pursuit of a higher ranking in the marital market.
At work, Chan-hwi attempts to bridge the gap between them with casual conversation, but Min-ju draws a clear boundary. However, Ah-reum's arrival softens Min-ju's stance enough to engage in dialogue. Yet, Chan-hwi's oversensitivity leads him to mistakenly perceive offense and hastily apologizes, further complicating their interaction.
Elsewhere, Yong-ju and Beom arrive to meet with the village chief, who has graciously agreed to arrange a reunion between them and Min-ju, provided they bring him some beer. Upon Min-ju's arrival, both Yong-ju and she are taken aback by the unexpected encounter. She humbly requests just five minutes of his precious time, and he can't help but notice the desperation radiating from her every pore.
She urges him, with earnest eyes, to at least glance over her proposal, but he finds himself unable to bear the weight of her plea. Instead, he gently yet firmly advises her to seek medical attention for her wound, sustained during her altercation with the wholesaler, before abruptly leaving her there, stunned.
As he speeds away, nearly colliding with a stray dog in his emotional turmoil, Yong-ju trails behind, concerned. He assures Yong-ju that he's fine but swear, from this moment forth, he must sever ties with her (tracing an imaginary line in the air for emphasis).
Back at his place, Min-ju retreats to a serene meditation room adorned with flickering candles and soothing melodies, attempting to disentangle Yong-ju's emotions from his own chaotic thoughts. Meanwhile, Yong-ju arrives to find Min-ju has barricaded himself inside. Two female employees, noticing smoke wafting from the room, panic until Yong-ju takes swift command, adeptly descending to Min-ju's window via a makeshift rope ladder, the scene etched with urgency and resolve.
Min-ju is left in astonishment, while Yong-ju's tension melts away upon catching sight of the candles. She gently informs Min-ju that she is lifting the restrictions against him and suggests they collaborate on a fresh beer brew, ensuring his initial efforts remain untainted by controversy. Min-ju begins to protest, but Chan-hwi swiftly silences him, acknowledging Yong-ju's challenging day.
Later, Yong-ju and Beom venture to the supermarket, where they encounter Ah-reum and her coworker. Ah-reum urges them to abandon their efforts with Min-ju, but Yong-ju remains steadfast in her resolve. During their visit, Yong-ju learns from the village chief that he's short-staffed due to the supermarket owner's overseas trip. Seizing the opportunity, Yong-ju volunteers to take over the supermarket duties. The village chief, delighted by her offer, turns joyful. However, the next day, he breaks the news that Yong-ju is banned from entering the town, as Min-ju has instructed him and his staff to bar her entry.
The narrative then shifts to a vivid, video-game-inspired depiction of Yong-ju surmounting multiple obstacles. She charms the village chief with generous boxes of supplements and wins over two local ladies by playing on their sympathy, feigning hunger and sharing her story of an orphaned childhood and her subsequent enrollment in the Special Forces to make ends meet.
