Episode 3 of "Brewing Love" kicks off with Min-ju discovering Yong-ju diligently toiling in the fields. Impressed by her adeptness, the seasoned womenfolk persuade Min-ju to hire Yong-ju as a part-time assistant. Back in the bustling city of Seoul, Chan-hwi encounters Ah-reum and is instantly captivated by her star-like charm.
As Yong-ju dives into her work, she gains insights into Min-ju's personality. During their lunch break, Min-ju and the other ladies escort Yong-ju to a quaint, fully furnished shed resembling a cozy apartment – a thoughtful gesture orchestrated by Min-ju herself.
Meanwhile, Ah-reum's supervisors pressure her to emulate Yong-ju's dedication. During her lunch respite, the tantalizing aroma from Chan-hwi's truck lures Ah-reum. He crafts a toasted sandwich for her, which she savors with delight.
Observing Yong-ju's diligent work, Min-ju joins her, offering coffee and a creamy bun. He even tenderly ties her hair back, a gesture preceded by a fleeting memory of him noticing her casual mentions of such thoughtful acts. Soon, the other ladies enter, playfully teasing Min-ju and Yong-ju. However, Min-ju's demeanor abruptly shifts, instructing Yong-ju to depart.
Determined and unyielding, Yong-ju heads to Uilhan Pub and challenges herself to consume all ten liters of Naro Beer on offer. Alerted by her bold endeavor, the village chief, who also owns the pub, contacts Min-ju. In her tipsy state, Yong-ju boldly declares her intentions to safeguard her colleagues and improve Min-ju's situation, unaware that Min-ju has overheard her heartfelt vows. The chief subsequently entrusts Min-ju with the situation, allowing her to take charge. Min-ju warns Yong-ju that her relentless efforts to assist others will eventually consume her. Exhausted, she finds herself drifting into a nap mid-conversation. Undeterred, Min-ju secures her to his back and pedals their way back to the brewery on his bicycle.
Elsewhere, the townspeople buzz with anticipation for the impending beer festival. Jjuan and her spouse return from Vietnam, adding to the festive atmosphere. Yong-ju awakens fully refreshed and pitches in to help with the preparations. The two women hatch a scheme to bring Yong-ju and Min-ju closer together, sending Yong-ju into the woods to gather ragwort. They then relay to Min-ju a fabricated tale of Yong-ju being stranded in the mountains, requiring immediate rescue.
Min-ju, concerned and relentless, searches tirelessly until dusk descends, ultimately locating Yong-ju sitting beside an abandoned shed. Yong-ju explains that her phone had died, prompting her to decide to stay overnight and return in the morning. Curiosity piqued, she insists on knowing the reason behind his apparent dislike for her. Min-ju clarifies that he has never harbored any ill will towards her.
He then unfolds the tale of his strained relationship with his father, which drove him into solitude. A montage of flashbacks illuminates how individuals exploited his kindness. His mother, the sole beacon of understanding, had also passed away, leaving him further isolated in his pain.
Currently, he utters that Yong-ju evokes the image of the son his father had envisioned him to be. He further recounts that six years prior, a guardian angel rescued him from a perilous mishap, advising him to shut out the darkness and safeguard his own well-being. Yong-ju reflects thoughtfully, acknowledging that not all possess the strength to fend for themselves, and her emotions well up within her. Min-ju gently urges her not to stifle her feelings so intently. As Yong-ju nods off once more in an upright position, Min-ju offers his shoulder as a pillow of comfort. Upon awakening in the morning, Yong-ju berates herself for letting her guard down and enjoying a peaceful slumber.
Ah-reum receives a disappointing A-minus rating from the marriage counselor, a judgment influenced by her parents' professions as a real estate agent and a cryptocurrency trader. Determined to rectify the situation, Ah-reum convenes the villagers through the village chief. She paints a vivid picture of the wealth they could amass if Jisang were to acquire Naro, inadvertently casting aspersions on Yong-ju, suggesting she intends to lure Min-ju away to work on a novel beer venture, abandoning the village behind.
Upon their return from the mountain, Yong-ju finds herself on the wrong side of the villagers, who vent their frustration by casting salt upon her. In a climactic moment at the conclusion of Brewing Love Episode 3, Min-ju stands resolutely between Yong-ju and the怒 villagers, shielding her from their wrath.
