Brewing Love – K-drama Episode 4 1

A nostalgic flashback to four years prior depicts Min-ju's arrival in Baegok-ri. He initiates his beer venture, which swiftly blossoms into a thriving success, largely due to the unwavering support of the villagers. In the present, he elaborates on his inability to abandon them, attributing his success to their unwavering loyalty and hard work. As the beer festival looms on the horizon, Yong-ju confronts Ah-reum, accusing her of withholding crucial information from the villagers. Should Naro merge with Jisang, the villagers stand to lose both their ownership of the beer and the beloved festival, with no assurance of continued employment under Jisang's regime.

The duo proceeds to the beer festival, only to find that the village chief inadvertently ordered beer for the incorrect date. In a swift decision, Min-ju decides to transport all his beer to the festival, with Ah-reum and Chan-hwi offering their unwavering assistance. Yong-ju, however, conjures a more ambitious plan. She enlists Beom's help and secures a colossal truck laden with beer. Unfortunately, their journey is abruptly halted as they are compelled to swerve and stop due to a sudden car accident blocking the road amidst their urgent mission.

Yong-ju reaches out to the chairman, a wholesaler whom she shares a harmonious relationship with, seeking his assistance. With the injured passengers safely dispatched in an ambulance, the chairman arrives on the scene, bearing additional crates of beer. Yong-ju and Beom set off towards the festival with the newly arrived fleet of trucks. Beom remarks that this could be the perfect moment to persuade Min-ju to finalize the deal, but Yong-ju demurs, preferring not to coerce him.

Unbeknownst to Yong-ju, Chan-hwi lets slip that her primary motive in courting Min-ju is to salvage the Busan branch. Ah-reum seizes upon this revelation, suggesting that Yong-ju cannot be trusted. Yong-ju's timely arrival interrupts the conversation, and she acknowledges the truth but asserts that she would never exploit him or the villagers for her ends.

Arriving at the festival, Yong-ju is accompanied by several trucks laden with beer. Min-ju astounds everyone by announcing his decision to partner with Yong-ju. He confides in her that he has always had faith in her. Meanwhile, Ah-reum retreats in disappointment, but Chan-hwi offers her a comforting toasted sandwich, which she gratefully accepts.

The festival flourishes, and as night descends, Min-ju settles Yong-ju's payment for her part-time work with the beer. Drawing a parallel between beer and people, Min-ju reflects on the harsher criteria often employed to judge individuals. Their conversation deepens as Min-ju is amazed by Yong-ju's profound understanding of him. As he steps inside his home, he catches Yong-ju's melodic singing echoing outside and can't suppress a smile.

The following day, as Min-ju steers his way towards Seoul, a wave of anxiety washes over him. At this critical juncture, Yong-ju dispels his worries by sharing a video depicting festival-goers who had thoroughly enjoyed his beer, their smiles and applause conveyed through the screen. His heart steadies as he reads her words of encouragement, each one a soothing balm to his frazzled nerves.

Upon arriving at Jisang Liquor's office, Min-ju is pleasantly surprised to discover that Yong-ju has assembled a formidable team in his absence, comprising Ah-reum, her diligent colleague, and the spirited Beom. With contracts signed and handshakes exchanged, they venture into the company's factory, the air thick with anticipation.

Later, over a lively dinner, Ra-oh issues a dare to Min-ju, proposing a taste test that puts his palate to the ultimate challenge. With remarkable accuracy, Min-ju identifies all ten beers, earning the admiration of his teammates and leaving Yong-ju to marvel at his hypersensitivity, deeming it a unique gift.

Meanwhile, Beom, inexplicably worked up, finds himself on the losing end of several friendly competitions against Chan-hwi. As the evening winds down, Yong-ju tenderly attends to a scrape on Beom's forehead, her gentle touch sparking a realization in Min-ju: Beom harbors feelings for Yong-ju. Sympathizing deeply with Beom's plight, Min-ju finds himself grappling with these borrowed emotions, reminding himself they are not his own.

But as the heavens open up and rain begins to pour, Yong-ju dashes towards him, her presence igniting a flurry of emotions within Min-ju. By the episode's close in "Brewing Love Episode 4," he finds himself pondering whether these feelings, after all, might just be his own.
