In Episode 9 of "Can This Love Be Translated," Hiro and Mu-hee embark on an opera-themed excursion as part of the Romantic Trip series. Mu-hee reminisces about her love for the opera scene from "Pretty Woman," and the crew accompanies her by playing the music from that film. Mu-hee then impresses the crew by singing the lyrics of the opera.

A flashback reveals Hiro playing with his niece before jetting off to Italy. His sister learns of his kiss with Mu-hee and teases him. He receives a text from Mu-hee with a picture of her location, stating that she's waiting for him. Upon arrival in Italy, Hiro finds Mu-hee, who can't recall how she got there. She discovers that Do Ra-mi invited Hiro to Italy and realizes that what he said about the kiss must be true. She asks Hiro if he likes her, and he exuberantly responds that he doesn't. She clarifies that she doesn't like him either.
The reality show's Italy leg commences, and Mu-hee is thrilled to hear Ho-jin's voice through the earphones. Her nights are spent as Do Ra-mi. She wakes up to find food and drinks posted on her Instagram that she doesn't remember having. A series of flashbacks shows that Ho-jin has been humorously indulging her each night.
One night, she requests the lyrics from the opera in "Pretty Woman" so that Mu-hee can recite them and appear intelligent. Ho-jin comments that Mu-hee looks quite happy and asks Ra-mi why he's still here. He replies that Mu-hee remembers the accident from her past and only pretends not to. When he pats her head, trying to show her some kindness, Ra-mi bites him in return.
The episode circles back to the scene in the opera, where Mu-hee is shocked that she knows Italian. That night, Ra-mi and Ho-jin hang out again. This time, Ra-mi has stolen Hiro's film camera. She wants it to go missing and let Mu-hee "find it" to gain Hiro's favor. She even threatens Ho-jin to hide the camera for her. While the rest of the crew enjoys dinner together, Ms. Cha notices that Ji-seon isn't wearing her engagement ring. She puts it back on, pretending everything is fine, which ticks Yong-u off. Nanami then sees Ho-jin outside, recognizing his coat and realizing he's with a woman.
The next morning, the search for the camera commences, and Ho-jin discreetly places it where Mu-hee discovers it. A sudden realization dawns on him that Ra-mi might have captured him on camera. He pulls Mu-hee aside and opens the camera, ostensibly to "check if everything is fine." They engage in a brief conversation before Mu-hee is called away.
Nanami encounters Ho-jin and shares her intention to inquire about something before booking opera tickets for Hiro and Mu-hee. She had witnessed him with a woman who was wearing Mu-hee's shoes and, despite his denial, Ho-jin admits it wasn't Mu-hee.
At Hiro's request, the team embarks on a journey to a Japanese photographer's exhibition. Hiro personally knows the photographer, as she took his debut photographs. However, trouble brews when the crew learns that their next shoot location, a winery, has been damaged due to a fire. Ms. Cha recalls that Jin-suk knows someone who owns a winery and implores Ji-seon to call him. Ji-seon makes the call and secures a new location for the shoot.
The owner of the new winery reveals that she might be Ho-jin or Jin-suk's mother, though this remains unconfirmed. Meanwhile, Ho-jin visits the restaurant where he previously dined with Do Ra-mi, but this time alone. The server informs him that Ra-mi has drawn a four-leaf clover on a napkin every time they've met, and he was hoping for a seventh one for good luck.
At the exhibition, Mu-hee encounters a photo of the northern lights and tears up, reminiscing about Ho-jin. In an instant, she transforms back into Do Ra-mi. Hiro notices the sudden change in her demeanor as well. Ra-mi approaches Ho-jin and this time reveals that she's been meeting him because Mu-hee still harbors feelings for him but can't spend time with him due to her own personal demons.
Mu-hee is petrified that Ho-jin will uncover her secret - that her mother killed her father and attempted to kill her as well. As a result, Mu-hee has become the person she is today, constantly seeking love yet running away from it. Ho-jin is deeply affected by these revelations and embraces Ra-mi. Ra-mi urges Ho-jin to leave Mu-hee so that she can stop deluding herself about achieving a happy ending with him.
