Additionally, Bryan is assigned the mission to travel to Maine, a decision influenced by the blinking caller ID from that location on Anson's phone. It could be Influx, it could be the Debris, or possibly even a sinister collaboration of both. Regardless, Bryan is determined to proceed.
With his trusted companion absent, Maddox steps into the interrogation room, intent on extracting information from Anson through torture. The interrogators slice open Anson's skull ever so slightly and insert a peculiar metallic shard, attaching it to a machine that subjects him to electric shocks until he succumbs. Miraculously, they gain access to his thoughts via a television monitor, using this unconventional method to track down George Jones.
Ironically, Finola receives the same briefing and joins Bryan on the jet, where he confesses to Craig the truth behind their mission. Although Finola is less than enthusiastic, they eventually arrive at their destination and dive into the investigation with renewed vigor.
