Episode 10 of "Dong Jae: The Good or the Bastard" kicks off with the dramatic court proceedings of Nam Wan-sung, who pleads his innocence with conviction. Meanwhile, Wan-sung's henchmen, who have all been successfully apprehended, testify against him, claiming they were merely carrying out his orders. Despite this, Wan-sung maintains a feigned ignorance of the murders that took place at his construction site, insisting that he always preferred to settle disputes with money and that his men acted independently of his commands.
Chan-hyeok steps up to the witness stand to testify against Wan-sung, recounting the harrowing tale of how he was tortured to ensure that Nam Gyeo-re won his drug case. The court is left in shock as the details of the brutal torture unfold.
Next, Wan-sung's counsel attempts to cast doubt on Seo Dong-jae's character by calling him as a witness, implying that he was working undercover at the construction site for personal revenge. However, Ji-hee swiftly dismisses this claim, revealing to the judges that she had enlisted Dong-jae's help as a fellow prosecutor for her case.
The court is then played a recording of Wan-sung instructing Gyeo-re to delete dashcam footage from the day of his arrest. The prosecution had uncovered this deleted footage and deduced that Gyeo-re had carried out Wan-sung's orders. As Wan-sung realizes that he has been exposed, he loses his composure, revealing his true, sinister personality before being forcibly removed from the courtroom by the police.
Elsewhere, Mi-ran seeks revenge against Wan-sung by exposing the details of his slush fund to Kim Ji-hee. Meanwhile, Dong-jae anxiously awaits news of his disciplinary action and is devastated to learn that he has been dismissed from his position. However, he is instructed to report to a new location after a two-month period. During this time, Byung-gun is promoted to the Supreme Office, leaving Dong-jae feeling betrayed and disillusioned.
Two months later, Dong-jae's mentor, the former prosecutor chief, leaves his law firm to create a team of morally ambiguous enforcers, including Dong-jae, with the mission of rooting out corrupt officials. Dong-jae's first target is Mi-ran, who is suspended due to her connections to Wan-sung. With a hint of humor, Dong-jae warns Byung-gun that he will be coming for him next. Ji-hee steps into the vacant position after Mi-ran's departure, leaving the stage set for a new chapter in the battle against corruption.
Gyeo-re finally admits to his crimes, while Wan-sung is sentenced to prison, where he amusingly finds himself sharing a cell with Kyeong-hak, the serial killer who had haunted the beginning of the series. The episode ends on a note of justice being served, but with the promise of more drama and intrigue in the future.
