Episode 9 of "Dong Jae: The Good or the Bastard" unfolds amidst the dramatic court proceedings of Nam Gyeo-re. Gyeo-re's attorney firmly asserts his client's innocence, alleging that Yoo-ri orchestrated the scenario where Gyeo-re was framed with drugs found in the men's washroom. As the narrative progresses, Park Chan-hyeok is summoned as a key witness, and Dong-jae, driven by a desire for justice, urges him to speak the truth – a step towards true liberation and the incarceration of Nam Wan-sung.
The scene seamlessly transitions to Dong-jae, disguised as a humble construction worker at Ehong's bustling site. Days blend into one as he toils, his eyes scanning for any sign of the buried remains. Finally, his perseverance pays off when he stumbles upon a freshly cemented patch, where he intuits the grim location of the bodies. The next day, a sudden announcement about a safety holiday looms, alerting Dong-jae to Wan-sung's impending move. Without delay, he alerts prosecutor Ji-hee.
On the other hand, Wan-sung, privy to intelligence from Mi-ran about the search for bodies at his construction site, faces a dilemma. Relocation seems too risky, so he resolves to a more gruesome alternative: grinding the bodies into oblivion.
As night descends, Dong-jae and Byung-gun keep vigilant watch at the construction site, while Ji-hee stakes out Wan-sung's residence from afar. Realizing Wan-sung's sinister plan, Dong-jae and Byung-gun hastily dial the police. Yet, just before backup arrives, their cover is blown. Fortunately, Byung-gun狭窄ly escapes injury as the police captain storms the scene, resulting in the successful apprehension of the perpetrators. Simultaneously, Ji-hee executes a flawless arrest of Wan-sung.
