Furies – Season 1 Episode 3 Recap 1

Meanwhile, the Fixer, fresh from discovering Lyna's name on a grave, decides to keep a close eye on her. He escorts her to meet someone named Marco, but during the journey, he halts the car and demands the truth. He produces a picture of Lyna's grave, showing it to her, leaving her stunned and reeling.

Lyna's emotions spiral out of control, and she rushes out of the car, determined to confront her mother. Desperate for answers, her frustration mounts as she accidentally spills a drink and rushes to the bathroom for a refill. But in her absence, an assassin sneaks in and engages in a fierce struggle with her mother. When Lyna intervenes, she's easily overpowered by the assassin. But Amythis, Lyna's mother, pulls out a hidden gun and fires a fatal shot, killing the assassin instantly. This momentous act prompts Amythis to finally reveal the truth to her daughter.

Lyna is not their biological daughter, as the truth lies in a heartbreaking revelation. Their genuine daughter perished, and in an attempt to fill the void, they adopted this young girl, nurturing her as their own, a surrogate for the lost Lyna. Swiftly, Lyna's mind whirred, and she hatched a plan to flee the hospital, clutching her mother's hand in a laundry basket. They managed to sneak out, reaching the parking lot, only to be confronted by a startling sight.

Elie, who had been orchestrating a spy network among her mother's nurses, suddenly appeared. He had been keeping tabs on her, ordering reports whenever she made an appearance. The red flags waved vigorously in the air. Despite their abrupt breakup, which he refused to accept or understand, he sensed something was amiss, particularly when his gaze fell upon the bloody laundry basket. Yet, he grudgingly granted her some space for now, his suspicions unfulfilled as he inspected the empty basket.

As he departed, Orso emerged from the shadows, tailing Lyna even to her doorstep. He scaled the balcony window to reach her apartment, patching her wounds as she poured out her heart about her family. In a moment of intense emotion, Orso leaned in and kissed her, but their intimacy was interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell. Selma's arrival provided a timely distraction, and the pair parted ways, their connection left hanging in the air.

On the road, Selma faced questions about her connection to Lyna, hinting at a possible kinship. However, the truth remained elusive as Lyna was abruptly thrust into her next assignment. She was captured and thrust into a dangerous game, surrounded by a group of men and women. The stakes were high as they scrambled to escape a pursuing dog, and the situation was worsened by the choking fumes that blinded them. But Lyna, using her instincts and the advice whispered by Selma, managed to emerge unscathed, a testament to her resilience and wit.

She firmly grasps Mud Man, the ringleader, and whisks him away in her car, her tone brimming with urgency as she demands to know the whereabouts of the safe. Elsewhere, Selma interrogates the Trans, probing their potential knowledge. Unexpectedly, Mud Man breaks his silence, admitting to stealing the safe and revealing its location smack in the middle of the street. With a mocking chuckle, he taunts Lyna, claiming that her father's demise was due to his fear of her.

Intriguingly, there's another safe hidden away at the casino, a secret the Trans proudly reveal to Selma, concealed behind the bar. Meanwhile, Mud Man is securely tied up and held captive on Fury's boat. Selma brings Lyna into the casino, introducing her as the future Fury, and the response is a mixed bag. Some clap hesitantly, while others offer tentative glances.

As Mud Man awaits his fate, a masked figure emerges, offering him a gun with a sinister command to "indulge himself." While Mud Man is being "taken care of," the others eagerly unlock the casino's safe, only to find Jelly's head tumbling out. Suddenly, Mud Man appears, intent on killing Selma, but Lyna acts swiftly, pulling the trigger and ending his life in an instant.
