Episode 7 of Season 2 of "Gangs of London" unfolds a week after the breathtaking cliffhanger of the preceding episode. Sean Wallace, having betrayed Lela and abandoned her in Asif's care, finds Luan operating covertly, intercepting shipments destined for Asif and undermining him by collaborating with Marian. They cleverly snatch the latest consignment right beneath Asif's nose, a maneuver destined to spark significant repercussions in the near future.
Sean receives a distressing call hinting at a betrayal within their ranks, prompting him to embark on a quest to uncover the traitor's identity. With 1.3 tons of their stash missing and both Koba and Sean in the crosshairs, it becomes evident that forces are at play to oust Sean from his leadership position.
Billy's suspicion turns towards Marian, accusing her of knowing the route just as well and pondering if she could be the culprit. Sean confronts Asif, unloading his suspicions onto him and insisting that Asif must find a way to replace the lost drugs. The only viable solution seems to encroach upon another territory, specifically targeting a recent Parisian deal brokered by Asif. Asif is reassured that the dealers, Bibi Agostini, haven't moved even 20% of their stock yet, presenting a prime opportunity for Sean and Koba to swoop in and seize it for themselves.
However, Bibi Agostini is no ordinary dealer; they are renowned as one of France's most formidable drug suppliers. Realizing they cannot afford a confrontational approach, Sean devises a strategy to strike a deal with her instead.
Elliot arrives to confront Shannon, who confesses her involvement in the scheme with Marian and Luan. Their plan is to distribute the drugs themselves, yet Elliot's singular focus remains hunting down Sean, driven by an unyielding desire for his demise. He ponders the idea of traveling to Paris to eliminate Sean there, reasoning that security might be laxer.
Marian, with a bold strategy, intends to flood the market with heroin at half the usual price, aiming to undercut Sean and Koba's operation just before their return, effectively crippling it. Unbeknownst to them, Billy has been tailing Marian and her companions, silently observing their clandestine meeting from a distance. He sneaks into a nearby shipping container and stumbles upon the cache of heroin.
Desperately trying to alert Sean, Billy's attempts are thwarted by Luan, who points a gun at him, forcing him to discard his phone. Luan then calls Marian to inform her of Billy's discovery. Marian decides to imprison Billy, bundling him into a van already filled with their contraband and equipment—a perilous situation for Billy, given his troubled past with addiction.
Eventually, Marian relents and releases her son, but Billy confronts her actions, sensing her regret over Sean's return disrupting her operation. In a fit of frustration, Marian slaps him, then offers him a bottle of water before leaving him confined once more. Ed voices his skepticism about this decision.
Meanwhile, in Paris, Koba meets with Saba while Elliot shadows them from afar, having followed them to the city. Saba serves as the interpreter as Sean pitches a lucrative trade partnership with Bibi. Bibi excuses herself but hands them a card for an evening meeting at her VIP club. She has heard their proposal, but what terms will she impose? The revelation is forthcoming!
Elliot swiftly secures Saba, cradling her into the rear of his van, and reveals his identity, presenting her with a way out of her predicament. He emphasizes that her fate is now entwined with theirs, yet he holds the key to liberate her from this entanglement. Caught in his grip, Saba reluctantly spills the beans, including the details of the impending rendezvous in the VIP section of the club. Elliot then places a gun in her hands, instructing her to conceal it for the night's encounter.
The highly anticipated meeting unfolds, with Elliot stealthily infiltrating the venue from the rear.伪装成服务员,他推着一辆餐车混入人群,缓缓上升至VIP楼层。 As he searches for the room where Sean and his associates are entertaining Bibi in the VIP Karaoke room, Bibi reveals her avid interest in the ports, hinting at her plans to smuggle both humans and contraband across the seas. If Sean can facilitate the entry of human trafficking onto British shores, she promises to seal the deal… and he, swayed by her proposal, agrees!
However, just outside the door, Elliot's cover is blown by the guards. In a swift motion, he eliminates three of them before they can summon backup. Charging into the room, Elliot realizes his mistake—it's the wrong chamber. Saba had attempted to send him an abort signal, but it failed to transmit. They've been tricked. This VIP room is exclusively reserved for Bibi, situated on an entirely different level.
As Elliot re-enters the elevator, Bibi catches sight of him on the surveillance monitors, recognizing him as one of the British. Instantly, she decides to scrap the deal with him. Sean, furious at the turn of events, confronts Saba in the elevator, accusing her of betrayal. Both he and Koba are determined to uncover the true traitor.
Narrowly escaping gunfire, Elliot manages to slip out of the club and hastily dials Shannon while fleeing on the back of a van. He urges her to leave with Danny, but Shannon stands her ground, defiant and confident in her own plan to confront Sean that very night.
The monologue that opened the episode recurs as the camera shifts to reveal… Billy. He's back in England and has devised a plan to use Billy as a pawn to get to Sean. Meanwhile, as the scene transitions back to Marian, she receives a bloodstained parcel through the post. Inside, to her shock, lies Billy's severed arm.
