Episode 12 of "Genie, Make a Wish" opens with Iblis making a dramatic return to a visibly anxious Ka-young. Her voice sharpens with urgency as she demands to know where he had disappeared to. The look of somber realization on his face sparks a flicker of fear in her eyes, leading her to suspect he's uncovered the secrets of their shared past. Iblis, his voice heavy with regret, begins by shouldering the blame for her demise. Ka-young, however, quickly interjects with soothing words, urging them both to keep their sights firmly set on the present and the path that lies ahead.

Meanwhile, at Yeong-hyeon’s residence, a moment of clarity washes over him as he comes to terms with the ramifications of his previous wish—that Da-jin forget everything. Now, she finds herself locked out of her own digital world, unable to recall the new password she had just set. For his final wish, Yeong-hyeon resolves to rescue Da-jin’s father from his predicament. In a twist of fate, Da-jin's memory is jogged, and she recalls the password, propelling their online channel to newfound success.
Back in town, Driver Kim embarks on a mission of mercy, rescuing abandoned dogs despite the haze of amnesia that shrouds his memories of Kim Gae. His actions, though driven by instinct rather than recollection, speak volumes of his inherent kindness.
Upon returning home, Ka-young conceals Pan-geum and Min-ji within the confines of the lamp. Min-ji, with a wisdom beyond her years, reveals that she has already pieced together the puzzle and endeavors to keep everyone's morale buoyed with her unwavering optimism.
At Jung-hoon’s abode, a darker scene unfolds as they subject Shadi to relentless torture, all in a desperate bid to coerce him into singing. Meanwhile, Ka-young pays a visit to Bu-gyeong, offering her the entirety of the money she had withdrawn from the bank in exchange for her last wish.
Bu-gyeong, realizing the potential peril of having Ka-young reverse her last wish, swiftly accepts the cash. With a newfound sense of purpose, she summons Iblis and makes a wish on Ka-young’s behalf, sealing a pact that would alter their fates.
Ejllael, sensing an opportunity, pays Ka-young a visit, hoping to sway her towards making the right decision. His intentions are clear: to eliminate Iblis and curry favor with the Supreme Being. However, Ka-young, unyielding in her resolve, refuses to heed his explanation and vows to make a wish that serves only her own interests.
Later, Iblis returns to inform Ka-young that Bu-gyeong has indeed made the right wish. With a sense of impending doom hanging in the air, he departs to prepare for the epic confrontation that awaits them.
Irem rushes to report Iblis's movements to Ejllael, her heart heavy with worry that Ejllael still perceives himself as locked in an eternal war with Iblis. For Ejllael, the conflict had never truly ceased, lingering like a specter even after the truce was declared.
Meanwhile, Shadi consents to sing, her voice a siren's call meant to lure Iblis to the mansion's embrace. Utilizing a magical thread, Khalid renders himself deaf, a precautionary measure to shield himself from his father's formidable influence.
It is then revealed that Ejllael's special directive for Irem on the day of Shadi's performance is to locate the enigmatic lamp and deliver it to Khalid. At Khalid's abode, a sense of triumph washes over him as Iblis unwittingly delivers himself into his clutches. In a ruthless act, Khalid slays Shadi and ensnares Iblis.
In her dying moments, Shadi implores Iblis to honor his vow. With a steely resolve, Iblis pledges to exact vengeance upon Khalid, swearing to avenge his brother's untimely demise.
Khalid, undeterred, dispatches his minions to apprehend Ka-young and reclaim the lamp. Ka-young, however, stands resolute, refusing to divulge the lamp's whereabouts or grant Khalid his final wish.
In a swift turn of events, it is unveiled that Ka-young had utilized Bu-gyeon's wish to transport herself to Iblis's side in times of peril. She discovers and liberates him from the entangling threads, while Khalid and his men hastily exit, mistakenly believing her to be outside. Ka-young urges Iblis to bear the threads and employ them to vanquish Khalid. In pursuit of this goal, Iblis retreats to Zahara's serene garden.
Coincidentally, Irem arrives at the mansion, lamp in hand. Sade is taken aback by her perceived betrayal, but Irem coolly reminds him of her past words. Upon acquiring the lamp, Khalid's suspicions are aroused as he realizes Ka-young still harbors a wish.
Sade attempts to intervene, clashing with Khalid's forces. Meanwhile, Chang-sik recalls Ka-young's enigmatic request concerning the day birds would plummet from the sky. He rallies his men and marches towards the mansion.
Back in Zahara's garden, Ejllael materializes to prevent Iblis from obliterating Khalid's prized flower. Iblis, in a moment of candor, reveals his hope that Ka-young will make a virtuous wish, granting her a chance at redemption and a path to heaven.
A fierce battle ensues, with Iblis emerging triumphant. Once again, Ejllael concedes that the war had never truly ended for him. In a surprising act of mercy, Iblis spares Ejllael's life, intending to fulfill his order of slitting his throat at a later, more opportune moment.
Elsewhere, Khalid succeeds in liberating Min-ji and Pan-geum from the lamp's confines. In a poignant revelation, Pan-geum deciphers the reason behind Ejllael's cryptic words about her demise. She entrusts Min-ji with a final, heartfelt message of love for Ka-young.
In a tragic twist of fate, Pan-geum ends up taking a bullet meant for Min-ji and meets her end after swallowing Khalid’s malevolent thread. Enraged and relentless, Khalid orders his men to violently rip open Pan-geum’s stomach to retrieve the cursed threads. In a desperate act of defiance, Sade sacrifices herself, dying to prevent the desecration of Pan-geum’s body.
Just as the scene reaches its darkest point, Chang-sik arrives with his forces, igniting another ferocious battle. Seizing this fleeting opportunity, Min-ji manages to get Pan-geum’s lifeless body into an ambulance amidst the chaos. Meanwhile, Khalid captures Ka-young, holding her hostage and tauntingly demanding that she make her last wish before he ends her life.
Ka-young, resolute and unyielding, refuses to comply. In a moment of divine retribution, Iblis obliterates Khalid’s soul flower before the tyrant can carry out his threat. As Khalid’s essence dissipates into a swirling vortex of black smoke, his followers are thrown into a frenzy of panic and disarray.
With Shadi’s final wish fulfilled, Iblis races back to the scene, determined to save Ka-young from Khalid’s remaining henchmen. Tragically, by the time Ka-young reaches Min-ji and the ambulance carrying Pan-geum, it is already too late to alter the course of events. A solemn funeral ceremony is held in honor of Pan-geum, a poignant tribute to her sacrifice.
However, amidst the mourning, an air of peculiarity surrounds Ka-young, who remains dry-eyed and seemingly unmoved by the loss. Her aunt, unable to comprehend or accept Ka-young's stoic demeanor, adamantly refuses to let her participate in the funeral procession, adding another layer of sorrow and complexity to an already heart-wrenching scene.
