The episode kicks off with a thrilling Friday night Bridge game unfolding in the McAllister kitchen, where Audrey McAllister (portrayed by Rachel Bay Jones) finds herself increasingly frustrated as Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan), a self-proclaimed novice, surprisingly holds his own. Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment), on the other hand, displays a palpable disinterest in the proceedings, eventually attempting to bow out altogether. Her departure to the sanctuary of her bedroom, however, only serves to heighten her awareness of the dwindling social life she shares with Georgie.
Determined to rectify the situation forthwith, Mandy seizes an opportunity the very next day when Beth (Casey Wilson), a colleague from the Bluebell Diner, extends an invitation for post-work drinks. Though they enjoy a delightful time together, Georgie inadvertently spoils the mood with a flippant remark about Mandy receiving attention from another.
The morning after, as Georgie engages in a workplace chat with Jim McAllister (Will Sasso), it becomes evident that Mandy's words have left a mark on him. Overhearing their conversation, Ruben (Jessie Prez) mentions Georgie's Friday basketball pickup games and pizza nights but thoughtlessly excludes him from the invitation.
Despite having another card game with her parents lined up, Mandy decides to ditch those plans in favor of an evening with Beth. Dragging Georgie along for the ride, this leaves Jim and Audrey to fend for themselves with Connor McAllister (Dougie Baldwin), resulting in an uneven number of players. Enterprising as ever, Connor proposes a lively round of 'Can You Guess What I Am In 20 Questions Or Less?', transforming the evening into an unexpected delight.
Mandy and Georgie's evening unfolds with an awkwardness that only intensifies when Beth's teenage son, Todd (Jackson Kelly), recognizes Georgie from their shared days at Medford High School. Despite this initial discomfort, a bond quickly forms between them, leading them to the garage where they collaborate on fixing Todd's dirt bike. Meanwhile, Mandy and Beth engage in a lively debate about the merits of sleeping with significantly younger partners, while Georgie and Todd find themselves discussing the positives and negatives of divorce versus marriage.
As Mandy and Georgie head back home, Jim and Audrey are laser-focused on solving Connor's riddle, with only 12 questions remaining. Mandy's frustration reaches a boiling point, erupting into a heated argument when Jim accuses her of acting like his overprotective mother by opposing his desire to ride dirt bikes with Todd.
Georgie, who is thoroughly enjoying the thrill of dirt biking, finds himself in an awkward position when Todd, Richie (Evan Nikolas Fields), and Jason (Myles Perez) break out the beer. Assuming the mantle of the responsible adult, Georgie finds himself playing the role of parent. At the McAllister residence, Audrey appears to be having far too good a time exploiting the rift between Mandy and Georgie. Meanwhile, Georgie acts as the designated driver for Todd and his friends, while Mandy and Beth return to the Roadhouse, where Mandy's enjoyment wanes. Eventually, feeling neglected and abandoned by Beth, who leaves her to engage in passionate kissing with Doctor Piccardo (Alex Ball), Mandy calls Georgie for a rescue.
When Georgie arrives to pick up Mandy from the Roadhouse, both realize they would have had a much more pleasant evening watching CeeCee sleep peacefully. Meanwhile, Jim and Audrey have narrowed down Connor's riddle to just one question, but unfortunately, they fail to solve it. Connor, true to his enigmatic nature, refuses to reveal the answer, leaving the episode on a cliffhanger.
