Back at the cabin, Lily breaks down the door and the window, escaping into the forest without looking back. Thankfully, she finds the main road and begs a driver to stop. By this time, Rick has already reached the cabin and knows that Lily has escaped.
Meanwhile, a good Samaritan brings Lily to her home, where she finds Eve. As expected, Eve is shocked and relieved to finally have Lily back. However, Lily is scared, and Eve tries to calm her down while the man she was with quickly leaves.

It turned out that Isobelle, a student at another school, had gone missing while Rick was teaching there. Tommy and Rachel realized that Lily was not Rick's first victim. In the meantime, Zoe visited Rick at the prison to get answers to some lingering questions. Rick turned on her and accused her of ignoring the red flags in their relationship when it suited her. He revealed that their daughter, Alice, was indeed Lily's child. He warned her to remain compliant if she didn't want the police to take her away.
