Goosebumps – Season 1 Episode 4 1

In his bedroom, Lucas finds solace in admiring his father's daring exploits as a stunt rider, which inspires him to craft an elaborate eyeball rollout trick. He carefully tucks it away and steps outside, catching his mother in an unexpected encounter with Colin in their car. Instinctively, he snapshots the scene with his camera.

The narrative shifts to a strained interaction between the children and their parents, marred by recent mysterious occurrences. Lucas broaches the subject delicately with his mother, hinting at what he had witnessed, but she firmly denies any wrongdoing.

Elsewhere, Mr. Bratt engages in a conversation with Colin, who requests mental health leave, citing the overwhelming stress of a friend's disappearance. Yet, Mr. Bratt, noting that Colin's sick leaves have been exhausted, denies his request. As he exits his office, his gaze falls upon Lucas clutching the eyeball trick, instantly realizing Nora's involvement.

The friends reconvene to dissect the latest developments and query Margot about her mother's unexpected return. Margot, clueless about the matter, suggests they consult her father instead. Later, Lucas, somewhat awkwardly, extends an invitation to Margot to visit his room. There, he unveils the photograph he captured earlier, leaving both of them shattered by the sight of their parents together.

In an attempt to cheer her up, Lucas swallows his pride and consumes a worm, which promptly induces nausea. Despite his discomfort, he offers to escort her home. Just as they near her residence, they encounter Isaiah, who inquiries if she is prepared to confront her father about the recent turmoil. Margot declines, without elaboration, and retreats. At that moment, Lucas's stomach growls loudly, prompting an abrupt exit from the scene.

That fateful night, the worms emerged stealthily from their tank confines, slithering their way into Lucas's mouth while he slept. The following morning, Lucas awoke with a pounding head, the remnants of the night's revelry clinging to him like a shadow. As he stumbled towards breakfast, his mother's meticulously prepared burrito lay unappealing on his plate. Unable to stomach it, he tossed it into the trash and instead began munching on the lonely vegetables stranded within its folds.

Later in the day, fate dealt him another strange hand—a misstep that sent him tumbling down the stairs, yet he rose unscathed, as if defying the laws of physics. In a fit of frustration, he punched his locker, trapping his hands within its unyielding metal embrace. But to his astonishment, his wounds mended swiftly, leaving no trace of the ordeal.

At this curious juncture, Margot arrived to check on him, concern etched on her brow. Lucas, feeling a strange detachment, delivered a monologue about his numbness to the world. Soon after, Margot joined a gathering where the group debated Allison's inclusion in their investigative team. Isaiah bore the brunt of their criticism, until Allison's entrance prompted him to claim they sought to discuss the forest incident with her. The group, however, rejected her presence abruptly, shutting her out.

Determined to make amends, Isaiah chased after her, protesting his loyalty and blaming Margot for aiding him in a test misconduct. Allison, unconvinced, walked away, leaving him behind. Meanwhile, Lucas was spotted struggling to hoist his bike up to the rooftop, a lonely figure against the morning sun. Inside Colin's office, Allison sought solace, voicing her grievances.

Isaiah, meantime, delved into Lucas's behavior, uncovering the startling revelation that Lucas had consumed a worm from the Biddle house the previous day. Realizing Lucas was in grave peril, their concern escalated. Just then, Margot was summoned to the counselor's office, grilled about the cheating scandal. She confessed, adding that she was aware of Isaiah's deceitful escapades concerning her mother.

They soon become aware of the commotion outside and venture out, determined to persuade Lucas from executing his daring leap off the building with his bike. Without a moment of hesitation, Lucas pedals off the edge, landing with a thud on Colin's car, which is now a wreck beyond repair. Colin reprimands him sternly, threatening the prospect of a permanent suspension, to which Lucas retaliates, warning Colin to steer clear of his mother.

Margot, who has been trailing behind, notices the telltale sign of Lucas's injured shoulder. She urges him to seek medical attention, but to her astonishment, he mends his shoulder instantly, presenting it to her as proof. She can see the strain and effort beneath his skin, a testament to his superhuman endeavor. With a heavy heart, she informs him of her departure for Booms of Doom.

Margot dashes to inform Nora of the unfolding drama, and together, they hurry to Booms of Doom to intervene. They arrive just in the nick of time, pleading with Lucas to abandon his reckless plan. Nora pulls out a letter from her father, revealing that he had foreseen Lucas's failure and had, in fact, intended to perish during the stunt. This revelation strikes Lucas to his core, causing him to regurgitate a mass of worms and embrace his mother tightly.

Suddenly, the ground begins to tremble, and an innumerable number of worms converge, coalescing into a towering, menacing monster. Lucas commands the women to flee in the car while he takes his bike down the treacherous trail of Booms of Doom, with the colossal worm monster hot on his trail.

He races his bike into an abandoned warehouse, instructing his mother to activate the crusher while he engages the worm monster in a game of cat and mouse. Lucas maneuvers around the factory, distraction the monster and buying enough time for his mother and Margot to get the machine operational.

With the relentless worm monster in hot pursuit, he maneuvers his bike towards the whirling blades of a sawmill and executes a daring leap over the shaft, narrowly escaping death's grasp and securing his own safety. Meanwhile, the worm monster is ensnared in the crushing machinery, effectively neutralizing the threat.

Later in the day, as the authorities arrive on the scene, Nora reaches her breaking point and decides to cease her deceit. She confesses the entire truth to the police, a decision that lands her in a psychiatric ward, separated from Victoria by a cold steel door.

Mr. Bratt ventures to the sawmill, his spirits lifted upon discovering the eyeball belonging to Lucas. He murmurs a solemn prayer, vowing to meticulously reassemble Slappy by the conclusion of Goosebumps Episode 4, restoring the menacing creature to its former glory.
