Graveyard – Season 2 Episode 5 1

Sude's podcast delves into the powerful emotion of love, emphasizing how it can drive individuals to the brink of madness. Bulent, with a mischievous glint in his eye, claims to possess knowledge about the elusive killer but is willing to divulge it only in exchange for immunity from prosecution. Serdar, skeptical of Bulent's sincerity, promptly sends him to the prosecutor, believing he's simply trying to weasel out of trouble.

As the case seemingly draws to a close, Hasan is granted a rare day off. He finds solace, yet sorrow, at Seher's grave, tears streaming down his face. Later, he visits his son, weaving a lie about Bulent's whereabouts to shield him from the grim realities of his job.

Back at the Graveyard, an unsettling normalcy prevails until a grim delivery arrives—a dismembered leg, belonging to a woman who had been murdered three days earlier. The leg bears bite marks and an eerily erased tattoo, adding layers of mystery to the already chilling discovery.

The deliveryman, Sadullah Korpe, a veterinarian with a compassionate heart, stumbled upon the grotesque find in the woods. Motivated by Onem's interview advocating for civic participation in cleaning up the country, he anonymously sent the leg as a test of their resolve. This act irritates Serdar, who values transparency and direct action.

Furthermore, the police uncover a group of hunters nearby, wealthy ranchers wielding fancy rifles and making overt advances towards Onem. Their presence raises additional questions about the case's complexities.

Returning to the heart of the mystery, the victim is revealed to be Ruya Sogut, a former actress whose life took a detour after divorcing her co-star, Kaan Karahan. She quit acting, became an avid animal rights activist, remarried Cuneyt Baran, and settled in a quaint village near the woods. Her husband, Cuneyt, reported her missing just two days ago, casting a shadow of despair over their once tranquil life.

The police take note that Cuneyt, despite his allergies to cats, persists in keeping them solely for Ruya's sake. Once an avid hunter, he abandoned his pursuit after crossing paths with her at one of her protests. Ruya, on the other hand, grew up with Esref, her alcoholic father, who incessantly demanded money from her. Tragically, he met his demise a month ago after plummeting from a building, leaving behind a staggering debt of 500,000 lira to loan sharks who have since turned their attentions to harassing Ruya relentlessly.

Three days prior, Ruya discovered a group of stray dogs and, driven by compassion, resolved to bring them to Sadullah, the veterinarian. However, Sadullah reveals that she never showed up. Cuneyt concurs that Sadullah, though eccentric, harbors no malice towards Ruya. Meanwhile, Kaan, motivated by malice, recently spread rumors that Ruya and Cuneyt were collaborating. In retaliation, Ruya accused him of assaulting women, leading to a significant Italian project dropping Kaan and his fans unleashing a torrent of online hatred towards Ruya.

Hasan continues his clandestine interrogation of Bulent, increasingly convinced that he is not the killer. It transpires that the genuine perpetrator also shot Bulent, leaving him in a precarious position where he dare not expose the killer. The killer possesses incriminating evidence pointing to Bulent's involvement in the murder of Bahar Ataman, a 17-year-old girl. Nonetheless, Bulent does possess knowledge of the murder weapon's whereabouts, adding another layer of complexity to this tangled web of deceit and danger.

After concluding his workday, Serdar arrives unannounced at Haluk's place, armed with bottles of liquor, professing his desire to bond with his father. Haluk, still haunted by the guilt over his wife's passing, nonetheless rationalizes their growing estrangement. Serdar's emotions bubble over as he unveils Cuneyt's deep affection for his late mother, accusing Haluk of selfishness for never making any sacrifices for her. Adding insult to injury, Serdar reveals that the real reason for his visit was to commemorate his mother's birthday, only to be met with Haluk's stunning forgetfulness. With a toast to her memory, Serdar storms out in disappointment.

The following day, the police set their sights on the loan sharks, but hit a dead-end when they discover that Esref had already cleared his debts. Meanwhile, Berk uncovers a hidden message in Ruya's tattoo – it spells "Kaan," and to his surprise, Kaan still bears his matching tattoo on his leg, inscribed with "Ruya," untouched and unerased.

Elsewhere, Sude languishes in the throes of heartbreak, feigning illness to skip school and abandoning her beloved podcast. In an effort to lift her spirits, Onem invites her to accompany him to work for the day.

Switching gears, Serdar and Hasan chase a new lead in their quest to find Kaan, only to be obstructed by his agent, Faruk. Amused by the agent's defiance, the officers threaten him with arrest for impeding their investigation. Faruk caves in, spilling the beans that Kaan has vanished without a trace.

Selin drops a bombshell, revealing that Kaan has been phoning Ruya at odd hours throughout the month, to no avail. Additionally, the police have pinpointed the online troll accounts to a single individual – Ayca, Ruya's former best friend and Kaan's current girlfriend, who happens to work at Mert's school.

Sude finds solace in Onem's company, who takes her to the court where children are playing. He praises her podcast, earning his admiration in return for his impressive school. Together, they share a moment of mutual appreciation amidst the lively atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Onem cross-examines Ayca, the acting coach who advocates for total immersion in one's character. Ayca asserts that while Ruya deserved the animosity for slandering Kaan, she did not deserve death. She maintains that neither Kaan nor anyone else could bring themselves to harm her. Ruya is nothing but a liar, and Kaan never laid a finger on her. Ayca further alleges that Ruya's on-set tantrums cost her and the entire crew their jobs.

Outside, Hasan confides in Nasit, his friend and Mert's mentor, about Bulent. It transpires that Bulent is none other than Bahar's father.

As Graveyard Season 2 Episode 5 draws to a close, Cuneyt persists in joining Berk and Serdar in their search through the woods, clinging to the hope that Ruya might still be alive. Berk is poised to correct him but is restrained by Serdar. Their harrowing journey eventually leads them to her dismembered body, lying lifeless among the foliage.
