In the third episode of Hazbin Hotel, Sir Pentious, consumed by paranoid fears that everyone is conspiring against his life, places an urgent order for weapon components with Carmilla Carmine, the reigning arms dealer in the underworld. Vaggie, her voice raised in fervent disagreement, insists that he must place his trust in them. Charlie, sensing the tension, decides that trust-building exercises are precisely what the group needs right now, albeit unknowingly placing a considerable burden on Vaggie by asking her to spearhead the session.
As the exercises unfold, they fall short of expectations, leaving Vaggie with a profound sense of having disappointed Charlie. Meanwhile, Alistor, tasked with removing Pentious' troublesome egg-bearing minions, embarks on an excursion with them. His path crosses with Zestial, both en route to a gathering of Hell's sovereign rulers, presided over by Carmilla Carmine herself. Zestial casually mentions a rumor circulating that Alistor has supposedly fallen into the clutches of "holy arms," hinting at his association with the princess. Unperturbed, Alistor brushes aside such gossips, unfazed by the opinions of others.
Alistor instructed the eggs to maintain a vigilant watch outside, yet subtly permitted one of them to slip through the defenses unnoticed. As the meeting commenced, Carmilla deliberated on potential strategies for dealing with the ongoing extermination threats. Velvette, clutching the head of a fallen angel, articulated her fervent desire for warfare, convinced that the angels could indeed be vanquished. This bold pronouncement profoundly stirred Carmilla, who vehemently opposed the notion of war, leading to a tense confrontation between the two.
When the meeting adjourned prematurely, Alistor assigned the solitary egg the task of shadowing Carmilla and Zestial as they exited the chamber. In private, Carmilla and Zestial dissected the demise of the angel, with Zestial astutely surmising that Carmilla was the one who had terminated its existence. Reassuring her that she could rely on him as a confidential friend, Carmilla conceded to the act. She justified her actions by claiming she had to intervene when the angel threatened the safety of her people. She kept this secret, fearing that its revelation would ignite a war and jeopardize those she cherished. While Carmilla bared her soul, the eavesdropping egg relayed every word back to Alistor.
Returning to the hotel, Charlie offered an apology to Vaggie for placing undue pressure on her. Nonetheless, he acknowledged that her rigorous training exercises had ultimately united everyone. Upon Alistor's return accompanied by the eggs, Vaggie resolved to entrust their care to Sir Pentious, whom she now fully trusted.
