In the gripping fourth episode of Hazbin Hotel, Husk boldly accuses Angel Dust of being a phony, an accusation that strikes a nerve with the notorious porn star. As fate would have it, Angel receives a timely call from Val, summoning him to a photo shoot. Despite Charlie's heartfelt pleas for him to stay, Angel reluctantly departs.

Determined to rectify the situation, Charlie resolves to convince Angel's boss, Valentino, to allow him more time at the hotel. She ventures to the shoot, but her unexpected arrival only infuriates Angel, who implores her to leave. Her presence becomes a liability, as Valentino proudly asserts his ownership over Angel, revealing a dynamic where Angel, despite his public bravado, harbors a deep-seated desire to break free from Val's control.

Upon returning to the hotel, Angel makes a beeline for the bar, where he endeavors to charm Husk with his flirtatious banter. The bartender, however, remains unimpressed and once again admonishes him to dial down his over-the-top antics. Frustrated to the brink and brimming with emotion, Angel unleashes a burst of anger before storming out in a huff.

Filled with regret over how her actions today have unfolded, Charlie turns to Vaggie for help, who sends Husk after Angel in hopes of mending the rift.

He locates Angel in a dimly lit bar, rescuing him just in time from a drink subtly tampered with. As Husk physically pulls him away from the bar's grasp, Angel puts up a struggle, insisting that he hadn't solicited any of this interference. Nor had he ever begged Charlie or Husk to intervene on his behalf.

Husk urges Angel to unleash his true self, to drop the facade and be genuine. Angel's eyes well up with tears as he protests, insisting that this isn't a performance—this is the person he's compelled to be. He frequents this dubious establishment solely to numb his senses and escape the oppressive weight of his bleak existence. Perhaps, if he can degrade himself sufficiently, he might finally cease being Valentino's pawn.

Husk finds a kindred spirit in Angel's plight. Once an overlord in his own right, Husk wagered his life to Alistor and now harbors regrets over his decisions. They forge a connection as fellow "losers," finding solidarity in their shared misfortune.

When a group of enraged patrons from the bar chase after them, they swiftly and collaboratively subdue them. Upon returning to their hotel room, they burst into laughter, the sound of camaraderie echoing through the space.

Charlie dashes over to Angel, overflowing with apologies. "It's alright," Angel reassures him with a smile. "I appreciate your concern."
