Hijack – Season 2 Episode 2

Published: Jan 23 2026

Episode 2 of Hijack season 2 kicks off with the manager at the Network Control Center, Edward Diehl, in contact with Wagon 2600 alongside Clara Berger. Sam informs them that the train is now under his control, and they must follow his instructions moving forward. Sam's target is John Bailey-Brown, a British criminal currently in Germany. The government apparently knows his whereabouts, and time is of the essence for the passengers' sake. It becomes clear that Sam is convinced that this man orchestrated the hijacking on the plane last season.

Hijack – Season 2 Episode 2 1

Despite Sam's apparent knowledge of John's identity and possession of his photos, Arnold Goth - the man Sam was supposed to meet - is not convinced. In the Control Center, Edward is determined to ensure mass panic across the network. While the U5 is held, along with all passengers in this area, Sam realizes that panic could be spreading along the carriages and orders the driver to put a stop to it immediately.

Sam urges Otto to communicate with the passengers, making up an excuse that they're being held at a red signal. However, due to George's Emergency brake being pulled, it needs to be manually reset before the train can get back up and running. Sam emphasizes the urgency, stating that if the train isn't moving "before they find us, then we're dead." Otto doesn't talk to anyone on his way down as he resets the alarm. On his way back, he's confronted about the cut on his head. Sam bails him out but it certainly arouses some suspicions as the two head back into the cockpit together. The police arrive at the Network Center, led by Ada Winter. She's the head of the Bundespolizei in Berlin, but Sam will only cooperate once John has been brought to him.

Ada enlists the help of Faber to tackle the situation, but it soon becomes evident that whatever Otto is involved in, he was paid handsomely to wreak havoc on the trains. Clara delves into the area's schematics and posits a theory that the U5 train might have been rerouted from its usual course and redirected onto the U8 line. This aligns with the train's sudden change of direction and Marko's previous activities on that line. However, this also brings up a very real possibility of a train collision.

Clara is utilized as a guinea pig to communicate with Sam and attempt to regain control. The plan is to claim that there's a broken-down train blocking their path, giving them enough time to bring in armed soldiers to storm the train and capture Sam by force. It's a bold move, and Ada eventually agrees to it. The police will be down in 15 minutes, but Ada insists they shouldn't engage until she gives the word.

Sam, however, isn't one to back down easily. At the station, he leaves the train with Otto. There's a signal room ahead, which happens to have a plethora of cameras inside, as well as a clear exit to the streets. Sam notices this and doesn't waste much time talking to Ada. He demands that she move the blocked train on the track. But one of the passengers grows impatient and confronts Otto, prompting Sam to step in and keep him in the driver's cab.

Sam ties his hands together and forces him to hold onto his briefcase, urging him not to make any sudden moves. Eventually, Sam forces the guy to leave the train and head onto the station in view of the cameras. The idea is to spook the police into moving the train, using this guy as bait. Instead, Eva calls the bluff and sends in the armed personnel.

Olivia arrives at the Network Center and informs Faber about the hijack. One of the station managers shows up and tries to talk down the briefcase passenger, a wildcard in this entire equation.

Meanwhile, Detective Beck discovers a burner phone in the toilet. When he calls the last number, it connects to a hotel in the area. When the phone rings, Marko's name pops up.

Back at the station, Sam eventually pulls the trigger. All the electronics in the station go out, and it's assumed that the briefcase held a bomb inside. However, it's unclear if that's what really happened...
