House Of Guinness – Season 1 Episode 8 1

Ellen, her patience wearing thin, implores Patrick to leave her in peace. Yet, he stands resolute, revealing his sinister intent to thwart Arthur's ambitions by any means necessary. A veiled threat about using a bullet sends a shiver down Ellen's spine.

Meanwhile, Edward confides in Sean, relaying Ellen's tip-off about Patrick's unexpected arrival and the brewing storm. Sean scours the vicinity, but Patrick remains elusive, his true motives shrouded in mystery. Edward, stunned by the revelation that Patrick harbors murderous intentions towards Arthur, resolves to confront Ellen.

That fateful night, Ellen and Edward engage in a tense dialogue, dissecting the intricacies of the election campaign and the ominous schemes of Patrick. Ellen, her voice tinged with innocence, insists she was oblivious to Patrick's malevolent plans. Adelaide, seething with jealousy, fixates on Edward's clandestine visit to Ellen's abode, questioning whether she could be the object of his affection.

As the campaign intensifies, Arthur and Edward find themselves in a frantic race against time, desperate to locate Patrick before his nefarious plot unfolds. The entire Guinness clan rallies behind Arthur, their collective efforts fueling his electoral bid. In a private moment, Benjamin Jr. and Catherine confess their love to Anne, only to be met with a stern admonition. Anne urges them to exercise restraint, suggesting that Ben should keep Catherine as his mistress rather than espousing marriage. She emphasizes the need for the Guinness family to project a unified front in support of Arthur's candidacy.

On the other side of the spectrum, Arthur confides in Edward, expressing his reluctance to acknowledge Sean's child as his own, a revelation that adds another layer of complexity to the already tumultuous situation.

That fateful night, Olivia confides in Arthur about the procedure he has orchestrated to terminate her pregnancy. With a voice trembling with loneliness, she opens up her heart, revealing her desperate need for someone to stand by her side. Arthur's heart sinks as he realizes that Olivia's affection lies not with him, but with Sean. In a gesture of selfless sacrifice, he arranges for Sean and Olivia to have a clandestine meeting in the quiet sanctity of the library.

There, amidst the hushed whispers of ancient tomes, the two lovers confess their undying devotion to each other. They lie entwined all through the night, while Arthur, restless and sleepless, tosses and turns in the solitude of his own room. One evening, Arthur finds the courage to broach the topic of ending their contractual marriage with Olivia. He explains that the terms of their agreement have been irrevocably broken since Olivia's heart now belongs to Sean. With a heavy heart, he urges her to leave with Sean, but also warns her of the dire consequences that await them should they breach the contract.

Arthur, in a last-ditch effort to salvage their relationship, proposes a condition: if Olivia severs all ties with Sean and vows never to see him again, they could perhaps continue their contractual union. Olivia, her heart torn between love and loyalty, ultimately chooses to end her relationship with Sean, hoping to provide unwavering support to Arthur.

In the privacy of their secret meetings, however, Olivia confesses to Sean that her decision to part ways was merely a facade. She shares her plans to keep their love alive, hidden from the prying eyes of the world, and to continue their affair in secret. Together, Sean and Olivia put on a convincing act, deceiving Arthur's informants who shadow their every move.

Meanwhile, Patrick is seen honing his shooting skills, his aim true as he takes down Guinness beer bottles one by one, in a display of determination and focus before the impending election results.

On the day of the election, Edward, Arthur, Benjamin Jr., and Anne reunite in the same room where they had once gathered to mourn the loss of their father, Sir Benjamin. Arthur, with a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile, addresses his siblings, telling them how much they have grown and improved since that somber day. He raises a glass in a toast to their collective progress, praising each one for embodying the values that would have made their father proud.

The season draws to a dramatic close as the four Guinness siblings make their way to the venue where the election results are about to be announced. The Guinness family arrives in a cacophony of hoots and cheers, their enthusiasm palpable in the air. Meanwhile, security is heightened to an almost impenetrable level around Arthur, with guards positioned strategically to shield him from any potential threat.

Arthur, undeterred by the tense atmosphere, manages to make his way inside and ascends the stage to deliver his speech. Sean, ever vigilant, stands by his side, eyes scanning the crowd for any signs of trouble. Ellen, too, is present, her face etched with concern. She pulls Sean aside and confides in him, revealing her desperate attempts to dissuade Patrick from embarking on a suicidal mission to assassinate Arthur.

Just then, Patrick makes his entrance, his presence sending a chill down Ellen's spine. She notices, with a sinking heart, that he is clutching a gun, his intentions all too clear. The tension in the room reaches a fever pitch as Patrick inches closer to the stage.

In a desperate bid to avert disaster, Ellen blows a piercing whistle, hoping to alert Sean to Patrick's menacing presence. But it's too late. In a split second, Patrick fires a shot, the sound echoing through the hall as the scene abruptly fades to black, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats, wondering what fate has befallen Arthur.
