We see the girls – Dara, Robyn, Saoirse, and Greta – together at school, but they're unnerved by the "local creep," Jason Meadows. It's unclear what role he'll play in all of this.

How to Get to Heaven from Belfast – Season 1 Episode 2 1

Back to the present accident, Saoirse awakens to find herself in the back of an ambulance. Owen has called for help, and they seem to be okay. He's also in the back of the ambulance, and after an impromptu jump scare, he warns that the roads are dangerous and they need to be careful. He gives them one more glance before leaving.

Liam shows up too, and Saoirse's eyes light up with love hearts when she sees him. Robyn and Dara quickly remind her that she's engaged and call her out for "forgetting" to wear her ring. When the group hit the road again... they immediately get into another accident. This time they almost hit another driver, but while Robyn looks to take pictures and exchange insurance info, the other driver (whom we later learn is called Booker) happens to have a gun in her bag. She doesn't fire it, but the situation is rather tense, especially as we soon learn that she has Greta locked away in her boot.

After the wake, the trio head back to their lives, with Saoirse immediately bombarded by her team as they prep for the BAFTAs. There are obvious tensions between her and the showrunner, which spill over that night when they need to walk together and take photos for the press.

However, Saoirse also has an epiphany that night during an interview when she realizes that Greta is still alive and seemingly the one who sent the email over to them under her alias of Gaye. A younger Greta appears in the bathroom to her and essentially tells Saoirse she needs to examine this in more detail.

Dara and Robyn both have epiphanies of their own too, with both seeing visions of a strange man and the burning cabin. Both her and Robyn receive red envelopes with letters inside. These sport the words "Please find me."

As for Saoirse, she heads home and delves into her old journals, where she discovers the name Gaye Hearton. When she was younger, Saoirse used to hide clues within her character notes, and one of her favorite pastimes involved turning their names into anagrams. The final name, Gaye Hearton, is an anagram for Greta. Robyn and Dara are reluctant to help Greta again after their previous encounter, but Saoirse doesn't see it that way. She boldly proclaims that Jason Meadows got exactly what he deserved. That night, his death bound them together forever.

The girls eventually agree to investigate the mysterious body, with the agreement that they'll only prove the body in the coffin isn't Greta. They pack up and head back to Donegal, where Owen O'Neill meets with Booker. There's some sort of deal going on here as Booker receives a passport and a bag. She's visibly nervous and clearly doesn't know what she's doing, but she quickly clarifies that this isn't new for her and it's just business as usual.

The girls return to Donegal and, dressed in cartoon masks, they arrive at the church... for the wrong funeral. It's super awkward, and they're sent down to the station and reminded that their actions are "super weird" and bordering on terrorism! The officer there calls in the professional, and guess who that is? Yep, it's Liam!

Meanwhile, we learn that Greta's "funeral" was moved and her body is being cremated too, effectively hiding any evidence of wrongdoing. Liam eventually shows up and takes their statements, but there's a clear chemistry between her and Saoirse. This time though, she pulls her hands back when he leans in.

Liam's investigation does seem to bear fruit when he finds a strange bracelet that seems to belong to Greta. It's here he realizes Owen could be part of this, given she was responsible for changing the shifts so Liam wasn't working that night.

The final scene of the episode shows Booker singing (badly) in her car while Greta seems to be in the local lighthouse. Owen burns a picture of his wedding with Greta too, lost in thought. There's another bombshell reveal later that night though. At the hotel, it turns out someone has already settled the trio's bill. As the camera pans over to the front of the bar, we learn that Jason Meadows is still alive.
