Episode 8 of "In Your Radiant Season" commences with the poignant embrace of Chan and Ha-ran, a tender moment that suspends time. As she ventures an inquiry about his earlier proclamation of being "greedy," he offers a poignant response, declaring that the past is but a distant memory, and he longs to concentrate on the present. As they stroll down the street, they encounter Mr. Park, who candidly reveals his knowledge of their burgeoning romance. Chan deposits Ha-ran at her doorstep and returns to the café, both of them reflecting deeply on his words about the past and the present.
Meanwhile, Na-na returns home, and Ha-young observes her wearing mismatched shoes. The next day at work, Ha-young notices that Tae-suk appears less meticulous than usual. Her colleagues within her team gossip about a photograph of Tae-suk with a woman, which ultimately transpires to be a business meeting. This revelation triggers a strong reaction from Ha-young, making her ponder if she and Tae-suk share an underlying affection for each other.
Elsewhere, Ha-ran meets Chan and his grandmother at the café. She presents Seon with her mother's broken plate, and Seon promises to attempt a restoration. In the midst of this exchange, Chan decides to heed Ha-ran's advice to confront his father and return his watch. The misunderstandings between Ha-dam and You-gyum persist, adding another layer of complexity to their interactions.
Chan ventures to his father's office, where he is asked to wait for Sun-woo to return from a meeting. Within the office, Chan discovers that his father has kept two drawings of himself with his mother. As his father's meeting runs late, Chan departs. Before leaving, a colleague informs him that his father attends every movie released by Chan's animation company.
Outside the office, Chan runs into Ha-ran, who expresses her concern for him. She wraps her arms around him and promises to be there whenever he requires her. Chan's father arrives and thanks him not only for returning the watch but also for its restoration. They part ways with a smile.
That evening, Chan presents Ha-ran with a new pen engraved with her name but pretends it's the original, saying he found it amidst his own belongings. Ha-ran replies that she no longer requires it since she possesses the pens he had given her earlier. He draws an iridescent cloud on the new pen and suggests she consider it something he found for her rather than something linked to her past. Soon after this exchange, Ha-ran receives a call announcing that she has won the Best Designer award at the Fashion Awards!
At the café, Mr. Park unexpectedly comes across Na-na sitting on the bench outside, despite the late hour. She explains that she wanted a cup of coffee and hadn't realized how late it was. He invites her inside, where she falls asleep on the table.
Elsewhere, Ha-dam runs into You-gyum's mother at the grocery store. A hug from her triggers a memory for Ha-dam of her own mother. She starts crying, and the older woman drags her home for a meal. In You-gyum's room, Ha-dam sees pictures of them together and reflects on their memories, realizing how much he always understands her. When You-gyum comes home, he thinks she's a hallucination. But they both start crying and eventually apologize to each other and make up.
Mr. Park finds an old picture of himself and Na-na from their younger days and sends it to her. She suggests they go eat teokkbeokki that evening, just like they used to, and he agrees. In the office, Tae-suk tells Ha-young, who is now daydreaming about herself and Tae-suk, that they need to meet someone that evening for the biosilk she wants.
Ha-ran attends the award show, where she is surprised to learn that there is another winner of the same award – Kang Eun-chan. A flashback shows Eun-chan inviting Ha-ran to go for a birthday lunch with her brother because she has to go for a sudden meeting. That's how she met Hyeok-chan. Over time, they start dating and he dotes on her until he leaves for the US. We then see a flashback of Ha-ran and Chan talking about her pen, but from Ha-ran's point of view.
Currently, Eun-chan enquires with Ha-ran about her well-being, reminiscing about the incident where Hyeok-chan injured his hand and had to be hospitalized. However, to Ha-ran's surprise, she's unaware of this. In parallel, Chan accompanies Park to the hospital where he catches a glimpse of Su-ji, who is working as a visiting faculty. Initially uncertain, he later receives recognition from Su-ji.
Mr. Park and Na-na go for their planned teokkbeokki meal, with Na-na having a blast. Later, Park confronts Na-na, reminding her of her previous behavior when she was planning to leave for France. He questions her current intentions of where she's planning to go next.
Tae-suk and Ha-young meet Mr. Chae, a contact of Tae-suk's who can introduce them to a bio startup company for the biosilk that Ha-young has been searching for. Mr. Chae seems intrigued by Ha-young and asks her out for a date. Tae-suk clarifies that it's none of his business, which annoys Ha-young who accepts the offer.
After reuniting with You-gyum, Ha-dam wishes his parents well and they leave. She tells him that she's going to marry him and that only happy times are ahead. However, trouble strikes almost immediately when You-gyum suddenly loses feeling in his foot.
After the award ceremony, Ha-ran is surprised to see Chan waiting for her outside with flowers. He takes her out on the town, visiting all the spots that Ha-ran had gone to alone when he suddenly disappeared. At the office, Ha-young receives a parcel for Tae-suk. She goes to his house to deliver it but when he opens the door, he looks pale and sickly and leans on her shoulder.
At home, Ha-ran receives a call that upsets her. She goes to see Chan and confronts him, showing him two pens with her name engraved on them. It turns out that the restaurant found hers and returned it. She now demands an explanation from him.
