Interior Chinatown – Season 1 Episode 2 1

As the narrative progresses, Lana picks up Willis, and together, they traverse the underpass that acts as a dividing line between Chinatown and the rest of the world. In this secluded setting, she unveils the sinister cover-up concerning his brother's mysterious disappearance. Recognizing that the pertinent files are stored within the precinct office, Lana enlists Willis's help in retrieving them.

Upon reaching headquarters, Willis discloses to Lana that he had encountered the deceased nail salon owner. Intrigued, Lana presents him with the mortuary reports, confirming that the woman is indeed deceased. As Lana steps inside the precinct, Willis encounters an inexplicable barrier—no matter his efforts, the office doors remain closed to him.

Inside, Lana finds herself entangled in a conversation with Green and Turner, who repeatedly label her as the "Chinatown expert" and seek her insights on the construction site case. Green voices her disdain, viewing Lana as an impediment from outside the precinct's sphere. Ironically, they remain oblivious to Willis's presence, standing just beside them and desperately trying to garner their attention, as if rendered invisible.

Eventually, Lana reconnects with Willis, and the duo tails Green and Turner to an exotic pet shop, where the owner emerges as a suspect in the construction site case. While investigating, the detectives grill Lana about the animal black market thriving within Chinatown. The pet shop owner alleges that venomous snakes were stolen from his store, leading to the presumed demise of the victim. Off-camera, Willis whispers a revelation to Lana, hinting at a clandestine black market operating discreetly from a laundromat.

Elsewhere, Fatty reluctantly assumes Willis's role at the restaurant, struggling to adapt as a waiter. His frustration boils over when he snaps at two customers, exclamation, "You're not the center of the universe...eat what I give you!" To his surprise, the customers find his antics amusing, adding an unexpected twist to the tense atmosphere.

During the ongoing investigation, Green and Turner stormed the laundromat but came up empty-handed, finding no damning evidence. Meanwhile, Lana and Willis headed back to the construction site in search of further clues, with Green relentlessly probing Lana for her "Chinatown insights." Their discovery of the pet shop owner's footwear sparked Willis's comment, "Hippies despise yuppies," leading them to deduce that the pet shop owner had orchestrated the crime to frame the animal black market.

Later, Lana attempted to assist Willis in re-entering the precinct, but he was once again denied access. Dejected and feeling like an outsider, Willis retreated to the restaurant, mourning that he had no place in the precinct. Concurrently, the pet shop owner was apprehended and confessed to the murder, while Turner,怒不可遏, lamented the loss of the "innocent snakes" rather than the Asian victim.

Motivated by this turn of events, Willis conceived a plan to infiltrate the world that had excluded him. Adopting the guise of a delivery man, he declared, "Kung-fu isn't the only path out of Chinatown," and successfully infiltrated the precinct under his new disguise.
