Meanwhile, Jin-ho returns home after spending the night with Ja-young, burdened by guilt as he struggles with his desire to start a new, happy chapter with her while also grappling with the past and Mi-ran.
Elsewhere, Jun-seo decides to surprise Yun-sol by bringing her lunch during practice. However, his plans are foiled when he sees her long-time male friend, the one he's always been insecure about, already there with a far more expensive meal. Disheartened, he heads back home, where Jun-kyung returns with her homemade curry - her very first attempt at cooking. The family ends up sharing lunch together, during which Jun-kyung finally confesses that she is in a relationship with Do-hyun.

In the meantime, Daniel carries a latent resentment towards Jun-kyung, but his longing to forge a bond with his father compels him to reluctantly acquiesce to Do-hyun's wishes. Gradually, father and son embark on a journey of mutual understanding, forging a tentative sense of comfort between them.

Eager to share the news, he waits for Yun-sol, only for her to confess that she had slept with her friend and apologize for not telling him sooner. Devastated, Jun-seo storms out, drinks himself into a stupor, and collapses outside Hye-on's rooftop apartment.
Meanwhile, Jun-kyung endures a painfully awkward dinner with Do-hyun and Daniel, only to later realize that the last words Daniel spoke to her in German were meant to insult her as a "wh*re."
Elsewhere, believing that Jun-seo won't be coming home that night, Jin-ho and Ja-young return to Jin-ho's house for dinner, where they are unexpectedly discovered by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, who arrive with kimchi.
