The episode begins with Jinx at the gym, sweating and determined. A concerned voice interrupts his workout, but he assures them he's fine. Meanwhile, Margo and the baby are discharged from the hospital, and Shayanne steps in to pick them up. However, there's a noticeable reluctance in her interactions with Baby Bodhi.

On the drive home, Margo marvels at the trust the hospital has placed in her to raise a human being. Shaynne lightly jokes that it's as easy as riding a bike. Margo shares a vivid dream she had of her dad being present at the childbirth, but Shayanne reminds her it was just a dream. As soon as they arrive home, Shayanne leaves, leaving Margo to navigate motherhood alone.
Margo is greeted by her roommates, who seem lost when it comes to handling the baby. They stare and make faces, but as soon as Margo starts breastfeeding, they leave the room. Over the next few days, Margo grows anxious that something is wrong with Bodhi, as he won't stop crying. The doctor tells her that he has colic but is otherwise okay. For days, the baby keeps Margo and her roommates awake, crying nonstop. The cost of motherhood also starts to become real for Margo once the diapers start running out.
Despite all these challenges, Margo and Becca remain in touch. Margo vents about the joys and struggles of motherhood, questioning whether she's a terrible mother and wondering why no one talks about the reality of motherhood. The physical and emotional toll takes its toll on her, with sore nipples, a hurting vulva, and emotional ups and downs leaving her a bit of an emotional mess. Her roommates also grow impatient with the endless crying.
To find some mental clarity, Margo turns to journaling. Through her writing, she seeks to understand her feelings and navigate the uncharted territory of motherhood. The episode ends with Margo reflecting on her journey so far and looking forward to what lies ahead as she continues to navigate the ups and downs of motherhood.
One night, Margo's roommates implored her to take their infant son, Bodhi, outside so they could get some rest in preparation for their biochemistry exam. Margo reached out to Shayanne for advice, who encouraged her to remain composed for the sake of her son. Margo then asked if Shayanne could babysit Bodhi while she went back to work.
Meanwhile, Jinx, having recently completed his rehabilitation and regained access to his phone, read Margo's messages and quickly made his way home. He traded one of his championship belts for a motorbike from a fan. On the night Shayanne agreed to babysit Bodhi, Margo dropped him off at her house. She inquired about Jinx's whereabouts and wondered if he was still alive since he hadn't responded to her messages. She suggested that Margo consider giving Kenny a chance.
Margo was delighted to meet Kenny but felt hurt and angry when she realized her mother hadn't yet told him about Bodhi. She insisted that she would only meet Kenny after her mother informed him about the baby.
Margo excelled at work but unfortunately, Shayanne showed up with Bodhi and vented about being a bad mother. She claimed that Bodhi wouldn't stop crying because he was judging her. Margo realized that her mother faced similar struggles. They laughed about it and assured each other that they would be fine.
After her shift, Margo was shocked when her boss fired her, explaining that as a new parent, she would struggle with childcare and would ultimately fail to meet work expectations. She suggested that Margo consider working remotely as a writer.
Disappointed, Margo headed home to find out that her roommates were moving out, leaving her and Susie to figure out how to pay the new rent. The next day, Margo visited Mark at school and demanded that he pay her $3000 since she couldn't afford a babysitter and had lost her job, not to mention that her rent had just increased. Mark said he didn't have the money, and Margo clarified that he had no other option.
Later, she joined her mother for dinner with Kenny. It turned out that Kenny wasn't as judgmental as Shayanne thought; he was used to working with youth at the church. In fact, Kenny congratulated her for taking responsibility for her mistakes.
During dinner, Margo received a call from Elizabeth, Mark's mother, asking to meet. She implied that Margo had tried to extort money from her son. As they wrapped up dinner, Kenny surprised Shayanne by proposing.
After dinner, Margo headed home and tried to reduce swelling on her breast using a cabbage patch. Susie briefly mentioned being a cosplayer and suggested that Margo consider it as an option. The episode ended with Jinx arriving at Margo's place, much to her surprise.
