The recap for Episode 2 of "Master of the House," titled "The Offer," kicks off with Kaimook preparing for her inaugural breakfast as the new wife of the late Roongroj, seated amidst the esteemed Thevasatitpaisarn family. As she takes her place at the table, Mavin issues instructions to Shutter, tasking him with preparations for an impending polo match against their formidable rival, Theva Gems. Notably absent from this morning gathering is Phupat, while a maid discreetly serves Kaimook her meal.
Shutter and Kita, their expressions betraying disdain, can barely contain their distaste at Kaimook's presence and abruptly exit the dining area. Kaimook strives to maintain composure, but her tranquility is shattered when she discovers a strand of hair in her food, evoking a wave of frustration.
Araya, seizing the moment, creates a commotion, intent on disciplining the maid responsible for Kaimook's tainted meal. However, Kaimook intervenes, only to have Araya challenge her to mete out justice herself. Padcha steps in, subtly pointing out that the hair in the soup bears a striking resemblance to Araya's own, prompting Kaimook to realize that Araya's actions were a deliberate attempt to stir trouble.
Elsewhere, Phupat campaigns vigorously to be named the sole executive of Theva Gems, his ambitions clashing head-on with Mavin, who learns of Phupat's maneuver and promptly halts the board's voting process. A fierce debate ensues between the brothers, each laying claim to the mantle of worthiness for leading the company.
Back at the Thevasatitpaisarn mansion, Kaimook finds herself in Roongroj's room when Bee, another maid, enters with a grim warning. Bee confides that Kaimook's safety within these walls is compromised, hinting at the family's hostility towards her. Just as tensions rise, Araya summons Kaimook, inviting her to a charity event in her capacity as Roongroj's wife. Araya vows to ensure Kaimook is impeccably dressed for the occasion, escorting her to a couturier for a bespoke ensemble.
In this refined version, the narrative not only retains its original essence but also gains depth and vividness, painting a more evocative picture of the events unfolding.
That evening, the housemaids gathered around the television, enthralled by a show that starred Araya in a mesmerizing role. Among them was Kaew, the maid entangled in a romantic liaison with Mavin, who arrived resplendent in one of Araya’s exquisite dresses. Kaew indulged in some wine at the house's posh bar but soon found herself overwhelmed, vomiting the alcohol in a fit of discomfort. A haunting flashback unveiled the moment Tian, Kaew’s boyfriend, introduced her to Mavin, paving the way for her entry into the opulent Thevasatitpaisarn mansion as a maid. Mavin’s lascivious gaze never left Kaew, and with a wave of his hand, he granted her the position.
Later that night, Mavin sought out Krit, the lawyer, with a devious plan to manipulate Roongroj’s will. He proposed a bribe, urging Krit to name him as the sole beneficiary. Krit, steadfast in his integrity, rejected Mavin’s offer outright. Frustrated and furious, Mavin reached for his phone, dialing Tian and issuing him a series of commanding orders.
Elsewhere, Phupat and Padcha engaged in a conversation about an upcoming charity event. Padcha mentioned Kita’s desire to study in New York, only to be rebuked by Phupat who insisted that she attend school in France. Meanwhile, Mavin’s anger fueled a violent encounter with Kaew, who revealed her pregnancy. Enraged, Mavin assaulted her, demanding that she terminate the pregnancy.
Kaew sought solace in Tian, who generously offered to take responsibility for the child. Concurrently, Kaimook delved into the CTV footage from the fateful night of Roongroj’s demise, discovering with alarm that the surveillance recordings from outside his room and balcony had been deleted.
At the polo match, Mavin exuded confidence, predicting a triumphant victory for Theva Gems against their rivals, Gentle Gems. However, Padchara and Phetye from Gentle Gems engaged Mavin in a heated verbal sparring match about their respective businesses. Phupat joined the fray, and Padchara proposed a collaboration between Gentle Gems and Theva Gems to conquer the global market. Phupat embraced the idea, but Mavin stubbornly refused. To Mavin’s astonishment, Theva Gems suffered a humiliating defeat, and he lambasted Shutter for embarrassing him in public.
Later that evening, Kaimook made a grand entrance at the black-tie charity gala, donning a dazzling red gown that stood out like a sore thumb. To her mortification, she discovered that everyone present, from Araya and the other guests to the members of the prestigious Thevasatitpaisarn family, adhered to the strict black-and-white dress code. When she realized that Araya had duped her, Kaimook's frustration reached its peak. Matters worsened when the host unexpectedly summoned her to the stage to deliver a speech in her capacity as Roongroj's wife. In a heartfelt and poignant address, Araya seized the spotlight, honoring Roongroj, leaving Phupat feeling marginalized as he had diligently prepared a speech of his own for the occasion.
Meanwhile, amidst the glitz and glamour, Mavin pulled Krit aside to show him a damning video of his daughter Amy indulging in drugs. Leveraging this compromising footage, Mavin blackmailed Krit into altering Roongroj's will according to his demands. Elsewhere at the event, Kaimook retreated to the bathroom in tears, while Tian escorted a tearful Kaew to an abortion clinic.
That fateful night, Kaimook resignationally resumed her duties as a maid, informing Araya that she no longer wished to be associated with the Thevasatitpaisarn family. In a cruel twist, Araya humiliated Kaimook further by placing her foot on her head, treating her with the disdain one might reserve for a stray dog. As the episode drew to a close, the scene left a bitter taste in the mouth, setting the stage for an intense and emotionally charged narrative ahead.
