Dr. Singer informs Angelo that he must endure the side effects of his medication, including insomnia and hallucinations. As the session progresses, Angelo experiences a vivid hallucination of himself shooting himself, causing him to panic and abruptly terminate the therapy.

Concurrently, Jeff arrives at the police station accompanied by his uncle Jacob, a seasoned private investigator. He introduces Dave to Jacob and reveals the discovery of a button at the crime scene, which could potentially aid in the investigation. Dave remains reserved and cautions Jeff against interfering with the case. Dave sends the button for testing and instructs the forensic expert to examine if any fibers from the jacket can be found on it. Jeff observes Earl being interrogated and expresses concern for Maria's safety after what Earl did to Leah.

Determined to track down the Ferryman, Angelo enlists Wesley's help in placing a tracking device on the shipment of bullets he is sending. Initially skeptical, Wesley agrees after Angelo promises to protect him. Angelo then meets with Dutch and inquires about Dr. Parks, suggesting that he may have killed an innocent man. Dutch counters that he was hired as an assassin to kill someone and advises Angelo to stop overthinking, acknowledging his own uncertainty about the contract.

Elsewhere, Jeff finds Maria in the baby room, preparing for her yoga class. She hides her gun and engages in conversation with him about attending her class. Jeff encourages her to go, and she agrees.

This episode of "Memory of a Killer" delves deeper into the characters' motivations and emotions as they navigate their way through the complex web of deceit and violence that surrounds them.

In class, Maria encounters Nicky, who engages in small talk and attempts to befriend her. Nicky inquires about her family, further cultivating a connection. Meanwhile, Angelo goes to pick Joe up from his house and runs into his father. The man speaks ill of Joe, but Angelo defends him. In private, Angelo requests assistance from Joe, causing the latter to feel uneasy.

Later that night, Dave shares the eyewitness's account of the murder suspect—a well-dressed older man driving a Porsche—with Maria, Jeff, and Angelo. Angelo's concern is evident but he tries to conceal it.

The next day, the forensic expert informs Dave that the fibers on the button match those found on Henry Bloch's body. She also reveals that the jacket is a custom designer piece and only three designers across the East Coast use those buttons. Meanwhile, Joe conducts a background check on Dr. Parks and tells Angelo that there's nothing suspicious. Despite this, Angelo insists they revisit the crime scene, making Joe uneasy.

At her house, Maria spots Earl in the baby room and panics. Earl, who is working with the cable company, warns her before leaving. Once he's gone, Maria retrieves a gun from the closet.

Meanwhile, Angelo and Joe return to the science facility where Dr. Parks met his fate. Angelo's mind reels back to the moment he chased after Dr. Parks, triggering a distress signal that led him to push the scientist from a great height, resulting in his death. Present-day Angelo confesses to Joe that the murder doesn't make sense to him. Just then, the tracker on his phone starts buzzing, leading them to Wesley's lifeless body in a storage unit. Joe questions whether the killer knows Angelo, and the atmosphere thickens with uncertainty.

Later that night, Angelo speaks to Dutch about the Ferryman and asks who ordered the hit on Dr. Parks. He mentions the name Gilchrist, which Dr. Parks whispered before dying, and warns Dutch about a possible attack. At his apartment, Angelo spends time with Nicky, who talks about Maria and says she would like to name her baby Liam. Angelo is shocked and wonders how she knows that detail, adding a layer of intrigue to their relationship.

Meanwhile, Dutch meets Ms. Gilchrist, the person who hired him to kill Dr. Parks, and asks about the Ferryman. She refuses to help and tells him to control Angelo, unaware of the danger Angelo poses. The next day, Nicky meets Earl and reveals that she is gaslighting Angelo while building a relationship with Maria. She asks Earl to speak to the Ferryman about her debt, further complicating the web of deceit.

Meanwhile, Maria reports Earl to the police. Dave tells her that Earl was at her house because he works for the cable company, suggesting she cannot file a restraining order. He reassures her and promises his support. Dave then mentions the button from the killer's jacket and shows her the list of designers. Maria recognises the name Fabroni and says that Angelo wears their clothes, leading Dave to suspect Angelo.

Elsewhere, Angelo meets Dr. Singer and admits that his condition is worsening. The episode ends with Angelo telling the doctor that he is willing to do anything to stop his memory from getting worse, painting a bleak picture of his deteriorating mental state.
