The fourteenth episode of Moon River commences with Yi Kang's capture by the Nameless Warriors, only to be set free in a moment of body-swapping magic as Dal-i awakens in her own body. In the palace, Yi Kang boldly accuses Han-chul of being the traitor who slayed the late king and the crown prince. Je-woon arrives with the secret pact, which Yi Kang promptly burns. Yi Hui orders his soldiers to arrest Han-chul, but chaos erupts as the Nameless Warriors reveal their true selves. In the commotion, Han-chul escapes.

Yi Hui then arrests Woo-hee for being a traitor's daughter, but Je-woon pleads with the king to spare her. The king also speaks with Queen Jangjeon, learning of her past attempt to escape with the secret pact. Soon, Yi Kang and the others realize that Dal-i did not return from Gamaksan Mountain, and they set out on a desperate search for her.
Their efforts are cut short by a message from Han-chul, revealing he has Dal-i as a hostage. Han-chul then takes a hairpin from a nearby shop and leaves a pouch of coins for the shopkeeper, before launching an attack on the palace with his Nameless Warriors and Dal-i at knifepoint. They breach the palace just as Yi Kang arrives with his army. But Han-chul drags Dal-i ahead and stabs her in the stomach, giving Yi Kang 15 minutes to bring Jangjeon to him or Dal-i will die.
When Jangjeon learns of this, she decides to confront Han-chul, knowing he will not harm her. Meanwhile, Yi Kang notices Dal-i's blood flowing towards him and seizes the opportunity to cut his palm open, triggering the soul swap. He orders his army to attack while Dal-i screams at him not to do it. As he does so, he carries them both through the chaos of battle into the palace.
Han-chul's army begins to falter, and when Jangjeon arrives on the scene, Han-chul is heavily injured and pierced with several arrows. Despite his injuries, he manages to pull out the hairpin he wanted to give her before succumbing to his wounds.
Within the palatial hall, the physicians delivered the heartbreaking news to the prince that Dal-i had already passed on. The true Dal-i, residing in Yi Kang's body, struggled to cut their palms, hoping to trigger the swap once again, but to no avail. She wept over Yi Kang's demise, and as her tears fell upon their intertwined palms, a burst of light illuminated them. In Wolha's garden, the flower of their destiny bloomed vibrantly red, shattering the dark bonds that had enveloped it. Dal-i fainted, and both returned to their own bodies, with Dal-i's body miraculously healed in the process.
A flashback revealed Yi Kang awakening in Wolha's garden. Wolha explained that even after death, a soul remains with its body for seven minutes. In those fleeting moments, Yi Kang desperately yearned to stay by Dal-i's side. Combined with Dal-i's own intense desire, their combined strength was enough to bring him back from the brink. Wolha further elucidated that while she had sealed Dal-i's red thread, the body swap was a testament to their own willpower and determination.
Over the next few days, Deok-chun confessed to her crimes, and Dal-i was reinstated as the crown princess. Deok-chun was sent to prison, where she told Woo-hee that she desired to spend the remainder of her life with dignity rather than as Han-chul's servant. Soon after, the other ministers allied with Han-chul were also arrested.
The dowager queen apologized to Jangjeon for her past actions and vowed to repent for a long time. Queen Jangjeon was the only one who visited the left minister's grave. As for Je-woon, he obtained the king's permission to flee with Woo-hee. However, Woo-hee refused to let him leave his mother, who he had just recently reunited with. Je-woon reluctantly relented but promised to be by her side no matter where she was sent.
Yi Kang and Dal-i were lost in their blissful love, and soon after, she gave birth to a baby boy. Fast forward five years, Yi Kang had ascended to the throne and abolished the family punishment system, which allowed individuals to be punished for the crimes of their families. As a result, Woo-hee would soon be exonerated and no longer have to live as a state slave. Upon hearing this news, she finally accepted Je-woon's marriage proposal. Woo-hee's status was reinstated, and the couple soon tied the knot, even restoring their greenhouse to its former glory. A new romance blossomed between Dal-i's court lady and Shin-won. After his abdication, Yi Hui found great joy and spent time with his grandson. Dal-i's parents and Hong-nan were also in good health.
We witnessed Yi Kang and Dal-i happy together, playing with their son. Yi Kang no longer feared water; instead, both of them were filled with gratitude towards it. As they walked by the water's edge, they exchanged sweet words about how they could overcome any obstacle in the future and would be happy for years to come. The episode ended with them embraced in each other's arms.
