My Life With The Walter Boys – Season 2 Episode 2 1

Elsewhere, Alex approaches his parents with a plea to enroll in bronc riding, but they sternly decline, highlighting its significantly higher risks compared to conventional horse riding.

At school, a dejected Dylan informs Cole that their team has suffered defeat in every game this season and hints at the possibility of him coaching to turn the tide. Meanwhile, Jackie and her circle of friends receive disappointing news: the Fall Formal has been axed due to budgetary constraints. Jackie, recognizing the event's traditional significance, urges Tara to persuade the principal to reconsider, provided the students can raise the $1,000 needed for the dance.

Alex maintains a subtle distance from Jackie, while Danny continues to keep his relationship with Erin under wraps from Cole. In a fit of frustration, Cole confronts Isaac in the cafeteria, demanding he cease spreading rumors about his impending role as football coach.

Jackie and her friends approach Erin and the student council with a creative fundraiser idea for the Fall Formal—a vintage clothing pop-up shop at Monte's, Skylar's father Mato's restaurant. Everyone is enthusiastic about the plan, except for Ruby, who has been studying intently with Cole.

However, Skylar delivers some disheartening news to Jackie: his father has refused to close the pizza place for the pop-up event. Determined, Jackie visits Mato and pitches an enticing proposal, offering pizza vouchers in conjunction with dance tickets, guaranteeing him 75 sold tickets.

Danny engages Cole in a heartfelt discussion, suggesting that being involved in football, even as an assistant coach, might be more fulfilling than completely severing ties with it. Eventually, Cole embraces the opportunity and accepts the assistant coaching position.

Meanwhile, undeterred by his parents' objections, Alex decides to take a leap and try bronc riding anyway. While waiting near Skylar's father's restaurant, Jackie witnesses Alex's attempt, which ends in a fall. He pleads with her to keep his mishap a secret from Katherine.

Later, Katherine escorts Alex and Jackie for a driving practice session, where her keen eyes spot Alex's injury. Meanwhile, Olivia, amidst preparations for their cheerleading rehearsal, stumbles upon the surprising news of Erin and Danny's romance. Elsewhere, Nathan discovers that Zach is the photographer for the school newspaper, a revelation that leaves him slightly apprehensive.

Will and George gear up to present their business proposal to the townsfolk, gathered by Mato's organization. Prior to the meeting's commencement, Katherine engages in conversation with Joanne, a friend from her book club, only to receive a chilly reception. As the meeting progresses, Joanne's husband, Bob, raises a multitude of concerns, including traffic woes and the ranch's activities infringing upon neighboring lands. George reassures the attendees that they will revisit and refine their plan, but this assurance does not sit well with Will, who feels sidelined by George's domineering demeanor.

At a school football event, Jackie and Grace set up a stall offering pizza vouchers, but the response is notably lackluster. It isn't until Cole urges Dylan to purchase a ticket that other students follow suit, forming a line.

Upon returning home, Katherine scolds Alex for bronc riding and Jackie for concealing the truth about it. However, she informs Alex that she's secured a trainer for him to learn bronc riding in a secure and controlled environment. After her departure, Alex confesses to Jackie that while he appreciates her efforts to mend their relationship, he needs some personal space from her at present.

As punishment for littering, Jackie is tasked with cleaning up the garbage, a chore she undertakes with assistance from Cole. She opens up to him about her struggles and reveals that she's organizing the dance as a means to rectify the past – the last dance she organized was marred by the tragic loss of her family. She then tentatively extends an invitation for them to try being friends, to which Cole happily agrees.

The episode concludes with Alex meeting his new trainer, a woman named Blake, who could very well be the key to unlocking his passion for bronc riding in a safe and fulfilling manner.
