Orphan Black: Echoes – Season 1 Episode 10 1

Craig lies motionless, but Jack's fury boils over as he learns that Tom has abducted Charlie. Lucy vows to surrender herself and meets with Tom, but despite his desire to end it all with her blood, he cannot, as Darros's sole demand is for Jules. Tom agrees to a trade: Charlie for Lucy.

Meanwhile, unaware of the unfolding drama, Jules is deeply engaged in bonding with Xander. She confesses that Lucy and Eleanor feel like kindred spirits to her. Xander ponders, wondering why, despite being a younger version, he possesses memories of Darros's recent killings. He chastises himself for aspiring to emulate Darros, and apologizes for shooting Craig.

Unable to reach Lucy, Jules' anxiety mounts, and she hurries to Jack's. She overhears Lucy revealing Tom's deal to Jack and flees in a panic. Before Jack and Lucy can intercept her, Jules surrenders herself to Tom, who releases Charlie unharmed.

Tina, Jack, and Charlie decide to depart, seeking safety away from the chaos. Charlie understands why Lucy cannot join them and urges her to aid Jules. Jack queries Lucy about the origin of her name, and she reveals it's a character from a children's book who came to life due to someone's wish. He assures her that he knows she cares for him and Charlie as deeply as she does for Jules, but Charlie's safety must come first. He refuses to answer if Lucy will ever see him again, and strides away.

Unexpectedly, Rhona materializes and confides to a startled Kira that she feels a profound connection with her. She confesses her longing for her father, imploring Kira to bring him back through the printer. Kira, however, attempts to reason with her, explaining that the printer is non-operational, yet Rhona is relentless, insisting that Kira must find a way. Revealing her devious plan, Rhona plays a recording of Lucas' confession to her about the cloning process, threatening to expose it to the world, reminding Kira of the illegality of human cloning. Shocked, Kira rushes to Eleanor, who urges her to inform Lucas.

Alone in her home, Eleanor is visited by Lucas, who, having spoken with Kira, has severed his ties with Rhona. He expresses regret for his harshness and admits that it will take time for him to see her as his mother, yet he confesses his longing for her. They embrace, and he inquisitively asks about her feelings for Kira. Eleanor, in a moment of conflict, revisits their wedding photos and makes a silent vow.

Meanwhile, Darros announces the imminent launch, and Xander offers his assistance, seizing the rare opportunity to access Jules. As they strategize their escape, Kira whispers to Xander, instructing him to sabotage Darros' printer before his departure. In return, he shares with her a personal detail about Darros' sister. Eleanor, meanwhile, continues her diligent work of identifying the eleven scans.

Xander arrives at the farm, cunningly convincing Darros of his strength and resilience, earning his trust. Once Darros departs for the launch, Xander sneaks Lucy in, and together, they orchestrate a daring rescue of Jules. However, their paths diverge as Xander heads straight for the printer.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the launch, Kira made her way towards Xander, intent on stalling him. With a flourish, she unveiled a groundbreaking project that promised to harness the limitless potential of eleven exceptionally talented orphan teenagers, guiding them to aid humanity in unprecedented ways. Eleanor, finally piecing together the puzzle, recognized the scans and realized with a shock that these children were replicas of renowned scientists from the past half-century. She quickly alerted Kira of her discovery.

After the launch, Kira confronted Xander, demanding to know why he would stoop to such unethical lengths as cloning, manipulation, and deception towards innocent children. Xander defended his actions, claiming that the originals had been corrupted, while blank slates could be molded and nurtured in the right direction. He spoke of the potential one of these children possessed to revolutionize medicine, perhaps even curing cancer.

Kira, unwavering, played her trump card. She questioned him about his sister, Zora, who had suffered from cancer. Was he really doing this for her? Xander denied it, turning away in anger.

He texted Lucy and Jules, warning them that Darros was on his way. However, they found themselves lost, stumbling upon a ward where the cloned children had awakened, their minds now programmed with false memories and histories. Jules recognized a fake grandfather in one of the photos and gathered them all, intending to track down the children and reveal the truth.

As they fled, Xander appeared, his gun trained on Jules. She was his failure, and he would not hesitate to eliminate her.

Back home, Kira found Eleanor busy replanting their garden, talking about building a new life together. Kira smiled, content. But Eleanor revealed a shocking truth—she had identified the twelfth scan as Kira herself. However, in a stunning twist at the end of Orphan Black: Echoes Episode 10, Xander revealed to Lucy his own twelfth clone—Jules 2.0.
