Episode 8 of "Our Movie" commences with an intriguing flashforward, painting a reimagined tableau where Seo-yeong's character, Jung-hwa, confronts Da-eum's Gyu-won and, surprisingly, Je-ha's Hyun-sang—replacing Jung-woo—within the confines of a serene bookstore. The air thickens as Seo-yeong confronts Je-ha, asserting that his feelings for Da-eum aren't love but mere pity. She then turns to Da-eum, baring her soul: she is terminally ill and cannot afford the luxury of love.

Our Movie – K-drama Episode 8 1

In the present, Je-ha attempts to clarify the tangled web he's woven. Seo-yeong, distressed by the gamble he's undertaken, realizes he has chosen a dying girl's affection over hers. She queries whether someone as selfish as him can genuinely comprehend love.

It's Day 2 of production. Je-ha and Cameraman Cheol-min engage in a discourse about the allure of capturing romance on film. Je-ha, uncertain of love's essence, finds himself at odds with Cheol-min's eternal romanticism, who views loving as an act of bravery. Makeup Artist Jo interjects, advocating for realism and caution in such matters.

Elsewhere, Jun-byoung and Da-eum discuss her schedule, with Da-eum lying about her impending hospital visit. Torn by guilt, she confesses to Je-ha, who smoothly defuses her tension. The mood shifts awkwardly with Agent Go's arrival, bearing a coffee truck dedicated to Da-eum. Emotions run high; Seung-won goads her, Jae-in looks sour, and Seo-yeong finds Go's gesture pathetic. Da-eum's attempts at mediation falter.

Filming resumes with the pivotal bookstore confrontation scene. Da-eum's spontaneous improvisation draws a harsh retort from Seo-yeong, striking a chord too deep for Da-eum. Burdened by guilt, Seo-yeong flees the scene. Je-ha approaches Da-eum, but his demeanor remains distant and formal. Seo-yeong accuses him of hypocrisy, noting his stark contrast in behavior towards Da-eum. Later, Seung-won wisely counsels Je-ha to treat Seo-yeong kindly, observing that everyone has noticed his preference toward Da-eum.

Next, a visibly nervous Da-eum attempts to mend fences with Seo-yeong, but her efforts falter as Seo-yeong believes Da-eum is treating the cast and crew unfairly. With sincerity brimming in her eyes, Da-eum pleads with Seo-yeong to understand her desperation to contribute meaningfully. However, Seo-yeong responds by asserting that if Da-eum chooses to act selfishly, she too will adopt the same stance.

Seo-yeong retreats to her room, where she encounters Agent Go, whose presence subtly suggests that she is needed. Although Seo-yeong yearns for Go's support, she craves the restoration of their previous, genuine rapport.

Elsewhere, Je-ha, having indulged in drinks with Seung-won,bumps into Da-eum. She suggests a stroll along the beach, with Je-ha, still under the influence, accompanying her as an unwitting chaperone. Da-eum expresses concern over his altercation with Seo-yeong, which puzzles him. She confesses her fondness for him as the reason behind her worry, only to turn the tables and ponder why he cares for her wellbeing. Upon returning, Agent Go pulls Je-ha aside, displaying indifference towards his relationship with Da-eum but sternly warning him against causing Seo-yeong further pain.

The following day serves as an off-day for the cast and crew. Cheol-min and Jo embark on a shopping spree, with Jo, in her usual intense manner, picking out a jacket to replace Cheol-min's charred one. In a moment of unintended candor, she labels him handsome, causing her to blush furiously.

Meanwhile, Jun-byoung intends to drive Da-eum to the hospital, but Je-ha objects, despite his well-known aversion to driving. Jun-byoung speculates that Je-ha's refusal stems from his feelings for Da-eum. Left to his thoughts, Jun-byoung feels guilty for stepping into the shoes of a seasoned manager like Agent Go. Resolving to seek guidance, he approaches AD Hong for advice.

As Da-eum undergoes her tests, Je-ha finds himself in the company of Dr. Kim, who inadvertently reveals that it is her birthday. Je-ha, concerned, inquires about her chances of survival, only to see a fleeting sadness cross Dr. Kim's face. Soon after, Dr. Lee joins their conversation, steering the topic towards the recent shooting incident. He offers Je-ha a poignant piece of advice: Da-eum's brightest smiles often mask her deepest pain.

Later, in a heartwarming gesture, Je-ha and Dr. Kim share a small birthday celebration, with Dr. Lee solemnly promising to bring her a chocolate cake the following year. Meanwhile, Reporter Noh's unexpected visit to the hospital is thwarted, but his persistence pays off when he spots Je-ha and Da-eum together and snaps a photo, promptly sending it to Seung-won.

Elsewhere, Da-eum leads Je-ha to her florist friend's shop, where they create a bouquet in memory of Eu-nae. At the cemetery, they encounter Jin-yeo, who is tenderly cleaning Eu-nae's plaque. As the day draws to a close, Je-ha escorts Da-eum home, where she poses a poignant question: Does he still believe there is no love in the original story? Je-ha confesses that his skepticism stemmed from resentment towards his father but reveals that his mother penned the script and thanks Da-eum for helping him see the truth. Before bidding farewell, he presents her with birthday flowers.

Inside, Gyu-young surprises Da-eum with a cake, but she refrains from making a wish, believing her heart's desire has already come true. Gyu-young teases her about the bouquet, hinting that Da-eum's affection for her mysterious kisser is no longer one-sided. Meanwhile, Je-ha grapples with understanding Eu-nae's romantic dialogues, seeking to comprehend her thought process.

Returning to their location, Eun-ho approaches Da-eum, acknowledging the burgeoning affection between her and Je-ha, having observed them closely over the past few days. Though she reveals her awareness of Je-ha's feelings for her, she admits that the situation is complex. Eun-ho, however, expresses genuine happiness for Da-eum and gracefully steps aside.

In the closing scenes of Our Movie Episode 8, Da-eum calls Je-ha, expressing a desire to watch the sunset together. Je-ha, realizing the urgency, dashes from the hotel to the beach, hoping he isn't too late. Arriving breathless, he confesses his turmoil: he wants to deny his feelings but acknowledges that he cannot. As the sun dips below the horizon, they share a tender kiss, sealing their growing connection amidst the fading light.
