Episode 9 of "Our Movie" kicks off with Je-ha envisioning a reworked scene involving him, Da-eum, and Seo-yeong. Following their confrontation at the bookstore, Seo-yeong urges Je-ha to end things with Da-eum before her untimely demise, to which he nods, albeit realizing that such behavior is unbecoming of Hyun-sang, the protagonist.
Presently, Je-ha and Da-eum engage in a poignant conversation about the moral complexities of loving someone who is terminally ill. As they hold hands, they bump into Cameraman Cheol-min, Makeup Artist Jo, Assistant Director Hong, and Jun-byoung. Quick to cover their tracks, the couple claims they were merely scouting locations, but Jun-byoung remains skeptical. Meanwhile, Gyu-young uncovers the identity of the enigmatic kisser by stumbling upon numerous videos of Je-ha on Da-eum's camera.
Filming progresses, with Je-ha mentally inserting himself into all the joyous scenes he shared with Da-eum. Soon, it's time for the rehearsal of the breakup scene. Jo and Cheol-min observe our couple intently, wondering if there's more to their story than meets the eye. On Eun-ho's final day, Cheol-min grants him the opportunity to film the scene. Je-ha senses something amiss; in the original movie, Hyun-sang's love for Gyu-won was genuine, and she survived. Determined to restore Hyun-sang's love, Je-ha proposes scrapping the breakup scene. Everyone embraces the change, and Je-ha is delighted with the revised sequence.
Elsewhere, Reporter Noh meets with Seung-won, who promptly dismisses him. It transpires that the producer is Noh's informant, warning him to stick to the rumors he feeds him. Frustrated, Noh approaches Agent Go with the hospital photo. However, Seo-yeong's words about sincerity have left a lasting impression, causing her to reject him too. At his wits' end, Noh recalls Jae-in.
As the day's shoot wraps up, Da-eum bids farewell to Eun-ho, her goodbyes tinged with foreboding despite his reassurance of future reunions. She appears sorrowful, prompting Je-ha to comfort her after Eun-ho's departure. They playfully banter, with Je-ha pretending to be jealous, adding a touch of levity to the heart-wrenching scenario.
Da-eum brings to light the altered scene, revealing his newfound understanding of Hyun-sang's love for a terminally ill woman. Pleased and somewhat astonished, she ponders whether Je-ha will adhere to the original conclusion as well. However, the mystery of why his mother spared the heroine's life remains unsolved, prompting them to vow to unravel it together.
Later, Seo-yeong encounters Je-ha and remarks on his visibly happier and more relaxed demeanor. Mirroring her character's dilemma, she wonders if his sentiments stem from love or mere pity. He firmly asserts that it is love and cautions her against actions that might haunt her conscience.
Meanwhile, Da-eum finds Jae-in awaiting her with a cloud of confusion still hovering over her. Jae-in, still unable to fathom why Da-eum seemingly has everything handed to her on a silver platter, vents her frustrations about Da-eum's carefree diet, the director's attention, and even a more spacious room. She storms off, leaving Da-eum looking distinctly uncomfortable.
Noh eventually publishes articles detailing the relationship between Da-eum and Je-ha. With Jae-in's assistance, he introduces a nepotism angle by sharing a photo of Da-eum entering Je-ha's hotel room. Dr. Lee is troubled, and Da-eum's latest check-up results, far from reassuring, add to his concerns. Investor Han is furious as his company is also under scrutiny for nepotism. Even Agent Go is worried, as the comments also accuse Seo-yeong of sleeping with Je-ha to secure a role in his debut film.
On set, Jung-woo blames Agent Go for the articles, but to everyone's surprise, Seo-yeong comes to her defense. It transpires that she witnessed Jae-in taking the photo of Da-eum and Je-ha. She silences Jae-in's gossip and calls her out for preying on a fellow actress.
Gyu-young makes a heartfelt decision to visit Da-eum amidst her mother's concern for Dr. Lee. As lunchtime unfolds, Jun-byoung valiantly shields Da-eum from the gossiping crew, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Gyu-young. She springs into action immediately, lifting Da-eum's spirits and, concurrently, capturing Jae-in's covert call with Noh, where the fledgling actress cautiously instructs the reporter to maintain her anonymity.
Seo-yeong, having reached a turning point, approaches Da-eum. She acknowledges her envy but also grasps Da-eum's plight, leading to a mutual pact to stand by each other until the very end.
Elsewhere, Seung-won confronts Je-ha, unraveling a damning revelation: not only the producer but also Investor Han are privy to Da-eum's secrets. Je-ha, in a moment of desperation, had surreptitiously filmed Da-eum's second audition, where her fatal illness was discussed, and shared it with Seung-won and Han to secure funding. Confessing his love for Da-eum, Je-ha implores Seung-won for assistance. Though frustrated, Seung-won vows to do what he can.
Je-ha seeks Da-eum out by the beach, casting blame upon himself for the turmoil. Da-eum, with an air of understanding, admits she too used him for her aspirations. She assurances him she can weather a bit of scandal, sealing their bond to face whatever comes their way together.
That fateful night, Dr. Kim bursts onto the set, frantically scanning for Da-eum. Agent Go crosses his path, her somber expression hinting at her awareness of Da-eum's concealed truth. Meanwhile, Han calls Seung-won, issuing an ultimatum: drop Je-ha or risk losing crucial funding.
The climax of Our Movie Episode 9 witnesses Je-ha and Da-eum making a courageous decision to confess to the crew. Je-ha declares his love, while Da-eum reveals her terminal diagnosis. The crew is left stunned, yet Je-ha and Da-eum exchange tender smiles, embodying their unbreakable bond.
