Meanwhile, Tae-hyung consoles himself with drinks and the company of his friend, Eui-joon. He confides that Woo-jin had tried to reach out to him, sending a text moments before his demise, stating that they needed to discuss something crucial.

Hyun-jin is visited by her friend Se-yeon, who also works at BS Food and assists her in caring for Woo-joo. They soon realize that parenthood is a challenging endeavor. Meanwhile, Tae-hyung works alongside a contractor to revamp his new apartment.

At BS Food, we are introduced to a team leader named Park Yoon-sung. He puts on a show, preparing an elaborate dish for the company's directors and using it to secure approvals for new projects. While reviewing the interviewees for his team, he recognizes Hyun-jin.

The day of the interview arrives! Se-yeon, who was supposed to look after Woo-joo, is suddenly called away for work in Busan. Hyun-jin struggles to find a babysitter and ends up texting Tae-hyung, telling him she's giving up on the child. He rushes over and she begs/implores him into taking care of Woo-joo for a few hours. However, he receives a work call and takes Woo-joo home with him so he can use his laptop.

During her interview, Hyun-jin eloquently explains how food is often intertwined with memories, such as the kimchi pancake her sister used to make. Back at home, Woo-joo creates a mess of Tae-hyung's apartment. He becomes frustrated and things escalate when Woo-joo knocks Tae-hyung's phone onto the road.

Exasperated, Tae-hyung takes Woo-joo to the BS Food office, where the little boy causes a scene, much to Hyun-jin's embarrassment. She drags them both outside and is arguing with Tae-hyung when Woo-joo runs into a fountain. After retrieving him, Tae-hyung reiterates that he won't be seeing either of them again.

Yet, he'll soon be forced to eat his words. Tae-hyung secures a new phone and is inundated with frantic messages from his contractor, who informs him that his apartment has been flooded due to the additional work he requested. Consequently, his new apartment will be delayed by another month. However, since the lease on his current studio is expiring, he has nowhere to stay.

The next day, a moving company arrives at Hyun-jin's apartment complex. It's Tae-hyung, who has taken Hyun-jin's earlier comment about raising Woo-joo with her very literally. Hyun-jin protests, but Tae-hyung explains the situation and shows her the extensive damage Woo-joo caused in his studio - worth over 5 million won, which she certainly can't afford. Hyun-jin reluctantly agrees and is pleasantly surprised by how much cleaner the house becomes with Tae-hyung around. She's even happier when she receives her official acceptance into BS Food!

Tae-hyung encourages her to celebrate with her friends while he takes care of Woo-joo. It turns out that he's trying to stay on her good side so that she'll let him stay in the house. Since Hyun-jin now has a job, Tae-hyung is confident that she will want him to stay on.

After talking to Se-yeon, Hyun-jin realizes it would be better to have Tae-hyung take care of Woo-joo while she settles into her new job. That evening, the two sit down and make a roommate agreement, stipulating that Tae-hyung will take care of Woo-joo while she's at work and that all expenses and chores will be split equally.
