Partner Track – Season 1 Episode 10 1

At the office, Rachel is taken aback by the transformed Wujay standing before her. She's now Wanda Jean, having taken the reins at Fun Time Farm and restored order to her career. However, a legal predicament looms, as she's been caught on camera in an intimate moment with an employee, threatening the park's future.

Rachel strides out, quickly snapping a photo with the squirrel mascot on the street, the culprit behind the incriminating images of Wanda. She sternly points out that his actions constitute a breach of contract, exploiting passersby for financial gain. Having gathered evidence, Rachel confronts the man, who shrugs off her admonishment. She switches tactics, learning that his dream is to become a pilot. She offers a deal: 50,000 towards flight lessons and flexible working hours, in exchange for dropping the lawsuit. He readily agrees to the terms, and the crisis is averted.

Meanwhile, Ingrid eagerly messaged Tyler, eager for a meeting. She felt this was it, the genuine connection, and that she had truly stumbled upon the right soulmate. She apologized profusely for the turmoil she had caused with Parsons Valentine and Marty. As they sat together, they mulled over the idea of targeting a certain "man" for revenge, and that man was Ted Lassiter.

With Z's assistance, Ingrid crafted a masterful plan for Min Enterprises to collaborate with NewLeaf to oust Ted through a shareholder blockade. She was determined to set things right, and they all banded together to bring Ted down. Securing a 50.1% shareholding was imperative to sway the board, necessitating a collective effort. This team comprised Rachel, Tyler, and Justin.

Rachel pulled out all the stops, orchestrating Wanda Jean Weaver to acquire 2% of Suncorp's shares, tipping the scales in their favor. However, a significant clause in the shareholder meeting dictated that any individual holding 2% or more of the shares had to vote in person. The situation hung in the balance as Rachel scrambled to locate Wanda, but she arrived precisely when needed to cast her ballot. Ted Lassiter was ousted, and Franklin Min stepped in as acting chairman, graciously passing the CEO reins to his son, Z.

After the triumphant coup, Jeff approached Ingrid, commending her for her brilliance... and her eccentricity. He confessed his love for her, flaws and all. Meanwhile, Rachel enrolled in a playwriting course at the theater, while Tyler embarked on a business venture with Valdo, despite their intimate entanglement.

As the episode drew to a close, Marty threatened Ingrid with disbarment from every law firm in the city. But Z swiftly intervened, making his stance crystal clear. If Parsons Valentine desired to maintain their partnership, they needed Ingrid as their relationship liaison. Furthermore, Parsons was mandated to implement a genuine diversity program extending to the partnership level.

However, the real reason for Ingrid's failed partnership promotion was now revealed. It had nothing to do with her ethnicity. In fact, it stemmed from her jail stint. She had neglected to inform the firm of the full details, and she hadn't mentioned her reliance on the firm, specifically Jeff, to bail her out. Despite his promise, Jeff betrayed her, revealing the truth. A shocking revelation, indeed.
